    KC Hunt and Garcia combine for the old strike 'em out, throw 'em out double play to send the Mudcats to the plate for a chance at a walk off. Nice tight slider that the hitter swung right underneath.

    Somehow this Brewer game wasn't the strangest MLB game tonight. The Dbacks-Dodgers game was delayed because a bee hive was in the netting behind homeplate.

    I'm honestly a bit terrified to see what that Norfolk lineup does to Aaron Ashby tomorrow. The pitches they hit out against Gasser were not bad pitches and they crushed them.

    So TJ Shook is listed as the SP for Biloxi tomorrow. Previously the order had been Misiorowski-Blalock-Woessner-Shook-Peterson. Woessner is not listed as a SP for Biloxi at all this week. Are we officially on Woessner promotion watch or maybe nursing a small injury?

    Straight from the rulebook, "If a batter strikes at a ball and misses and swings so hard he carries the bat all the way around and ,in the umpire's judgment, unintentionally hits the catcher or ball in the back of him on the backswing, it shall be called a strike only (not interference). The ball will be dead, however, and no runner shall advance on the play" It's very cut and dry. The umps made the right call.

    It doesn't matter. Once the bat hits the catcher in the head the play is dead so no runners can advance.

    Look at my comment right above yours. 3 times Judge sliding into 2B legging out a double. All 3 times he raises his arm, but doesn't fully extend the hand up in the air. Raising his left arm seems to be part of his natural slide, but the full hand extension in the air seems to be entirely to distract the turn at 2B.

    Judge absolutely slides into 2B with his hand straight up to distract the 2B. Here's video of him sliding feet first into 2B while legging out doubles. Notice the left arm stays up, but he doesn't fully extend the hand in the air like he did yesterday and in all the other instances of a double play ball.
