  1. If you don't like Rea, you would hate Boushley. Boushley doesn't even average 90mph with his FB.
  2. I mean it was a 94 mph FB right on the edge. Could have definitely been up a bit more but any pitch on the edge like that shouldn't be classified as a bad pitch.
  3. Corbin Burnes is starting tomorrow. He obviously hasn't been his sharpest, but I'm never going to expect a blowout with him on the mound.
  4. He's a top 50 prospect and even that might not be generous enough.
  5. He was also completely terrible his entire rehab assignment. In 14.1 IP between the MLB, AAA and A+ he had an 11.3 ERA.
  6. His peripheral numbers were awful long before yesterday. That 2.25 ERA was very fake and he was getting extremely lucky.
  7. Yeah our leverage bullpen hasn’t been a problem since Bush was put on the IL. The low leverage guys have been brutal though. Varland, Guerra, Bush combine for 17% of our bullpen’s IP and 40% of the ER. There are 18 RP with 7+ IP and and 8+ ERA and the Brewers have 3 of them.
  8. He goes back to the Dodgers (not with a 40-man spot) if nobody claims him.
  9. Jesse Winker has to be the slowest running slap hitter in baseball history right? Love by 2nd percentile sprint speed guy being a singles only guy.
  10. The good news is he's still way underperforming his peripheral numbers at the plate so the offense ticking up is easily an option
  11. Does anyone actually enjoy watching Winker at the plate? Just brutal looking ABs from him. 100 PA into the season now and he has 2 barrels.
  12. That Anderson groundout was our hardest hit ball at 92 EV. Other than that our next hardest EV was 82.
  13. He had a .375 xwOBA vs LHP before he was traded to the Mets last year and has a .425 xwOBA vs LHP this year. He'd hardly be the first guy to struggle after being traded midseason.
  14. A 116 wRC+ against LHP is not mediocre. It would have been 3rd best on the my Brewers last year minimum 50 PA. He was bad for the Mets post trade but that’s it. He had a 150 wRC+ vs LHP with the Giants last year and a 114 wRC+ vs LHP with the Giants this year
  15. And Voit was a FA at the start of ST
  16. His hitting needs to tick up to maintain that pace because LF basically never have positive defensive value at the end of the season.
  17. I’m sure some regression was coming but he’s been terrible vs LHP for 200 PA now so I doubt Ruf would be worse than that. 69 wRC+ vs LHP fit Voit last year. Ruf was at 116 wRC+ last season.
  18. I'd bet my lunch money that Ruf can do better than Voit's -53 wRC+ vs LHP this season.
  19. 116 wRC+ against LHP last year. Not great like you said but that feels like a superstar bat vs LHP for the Brewers lol
  20. Very real chance he’s washed but I still like the move and it’s one I’ve been talking about since the Giants DFA’d him. All he’s ever done is smash LHP so from a roster perspective this move is a perfect fit!
  21. His max throw this year was 95.3 according to Savant. The last 3 years his max was 88.1, he must physically be feeling better than he has in quite a while.
  22. Sequencing coach deserves a raise for that performance
  23. He stayed in the game at LF for the first 3 batters the next inning before being pulled. It's probably something that will keep him out for a bit, but it didn't look like anything too serious.
  24. Came up limping while in a run down. Think it's a lower left leg injury if I had to guess.
  25. Pure bullpen arm wise? Plenty of arms better than Rea.
