  1. This is my understanding as well. The only place I see him listed as under control through 2026 is baseball-reference. I can’t find a single other place that has him under team control for 3.5 more seasons.
  2. Literally nobody is relying strictly on the TV box and everyone is aware those boxes suck especially the top of the zone. That ball 4 to Riley was a strike according to the TV broadcast, baseball savant, mlb gameday, and umpire scorecards so people were not just going off the TV box.
  3. Which is why I said it isn’t perfect but even an incredibly flawed site can still show your hypothetical trade was absolutely a pathetic joke if the gap is $80M worth of value difference. The Brewers would literally never consider Chourio for Ha Seong Kim straight up. Let alone Chourio, Misiorowski, and more.
  4. Can you show proof of this? The only place I see him listed as having team control through 2026 is Baseball-Reference. Spotrac and Roster Resource both have him as a FA when his contract is up and I can’t find a single article saying he’s under control through 2026. HSK came stateside after 6+ years in the KBO and at 25 years old. So he didn’t sign through IFA bonus pool like Ohtani or Soler did who did not meet those qualifications.
  5. Maybe this site should stop green lighting articles that’ are clearly just there to rage bait. Baseball Trade values which by no means is a perfect site has Misiorowski and Chourio’s combined value at $95M and Ha Seong Kim’s at $17M. Suggesting the Brewers would need those 2 and more to trade for HSK is a clear troll attempt from a Cubs fan and is the definition of lazy.
  6. Ha Seong Kim has 2.5 years of control according to spotrac not 3.5 years of control. And the last year is a $7M mutual option which he’s going to decline, so in reality he has 1.5 years of control. Also lmao of course the Cubs fan thinks the Brewers should trade Chourio and Misiorowski and more for 3.5 years of Ha Seong Kim. Another incredible article on this website!
  7. Fangraphs actually did a study on this and 26 years old is typically a player’s peak, so 26-29 is not typically a baseball player’s best years. https://blogs.fangraphs.com/checking-in-on-the-aging-curve/ Edit: Also Chourio would not need to be down in AAA until June to get an extra season. You only need to be down for about 3 weeks to get the extra year of control. Brice Turang got the extra year of control this season when he was optioned in June.
  8. There’s a big difference between the strength of AA in the back half of the season and the strength of AA at the beginning of the season. The league he’s dominating right now is not as strong as the league at the beginning of the season. He also struggled against the tacky balls which play far closer to MLB stuff and movement profiles than the mudded baseballs especially when taking into considering the previous mentioned better quality in AA at the beginning of the season.
  9. Should probably just start a trade deadline thread so we don’t have the front page filled with a bunch of threads for small trades like this.
  10. @Joseph Zarrdid you see why Lutz was pinch ran for? I can't remember seeing anything.
  11. We are not worthy of Chourio's greatness. This is a special run he is on right now. He honestly looks like the next Acuna.
  12. Yeah I totally forgot about him. Remember he dominated in Arizona last fall. Just dealing with a bunch of injuries I take it?
  13. Chourio with another walk. He’s racking up quite a few of them in July.
  14. Assuming a healthy recovery, probably a lock to play in the Arizona Fall League I imagine?
  15. It's just that tweet. Brown Jr and Hiura as rumored Brewers names.
  16. Reds have had some insane pitching luck. Like they face the Dodgers this weekend and got to face 3 rookies. Over the last 40 games they have pretty much just faced the bottom of team's rotations outside of facing us and the Giants Edit: This isn't to say the reds offense isn't good because they are. They have just had quite a stretch of fortunate pitching matchups.
  17. What kind of vacation are we talking here and is it funded by Fanatic? I hear the Iberian Peninsula is nice around this time of year
  18. So Luke Adams and Luis Lara are both not in the Brewers lineup today. They both already had a day off this week. Does it mean something?
  19. And it really doesn't matter their relationship to the Kernels in the standing because the Kernels won the 1st half. As long as Wisconsin remains in 2nd place behind the Kernels, they will be the 2nd half representative for their division in the playoffs.
  20. There is no such thing as a 50/50 ball-strike call. The strike zone is defined in the rulebook. It isn't an opinion thing that can go one way or another. It's either a ball or a strike. That was 100% a strike.
  21. @82brewcrew82 you can cry and give me the thumbs down all you want, but that doesn't make you any more correct. Here's the Baseball Savant/Statcast zone showing a clear strike. Then here's the gameday zone showing a clear strike.
  22. It was a strike on the broadcast, on baseball savant and on gameday lmao
