  1. Jimenez is a good player that doesn’t mean he has huge trade value as a DH only with extensive injury history on a somewhat expensive contract. Devin Williams is way better/more valuable than Eloy. That’s such a horrible comparison.
  2. We did not give up more for a half season of Santana. That’s a bold faced lie. You’re totally ignoring Eloy’s extensive injury history. He’s a DH only now who has peaked at 500 PA in a season and is set to make $48M over the next 3 seasons which is a fair contract but nothing special that would make him extremely valuable in a trade.
  3. I’m pretty sure that AAA thing is just a mistake on fangraphs.
  4. Toro's defense is not good. They are going to prioritize Turang's defense especially when Houser, Teheran, and Rea are on the mound as those 3 are contact oriented pitchers.
  5. I'd bet this. 1. Yelich - LF 2. Conteras - C 3. Adames - SS 4. Santana - 1B 5. Frelick - RF 6. Monasterio - 3B 7. Toro - DH 8. Turang - 2B 9. Wiemer - CF
  6. Yeah Cubs are really hot right now. Kind of hoping this ends up with them buying but then still fading down the stretch getting nothing for the rentals.
  7. The mid summer Zavier Warren hot streaks are something else. Why can't he hit like this all year?
  8. Darrell Thompson has had a rough go of it lately. Someone posted an article on him recently from his hometown newspaper I believe and he said he expected to make his MLB debut this season and was expecting it to happen at the end of this month. Since that article was written he has given up 9 runs in 6.1 IP...don't think you're getting that call Darrell
  9. Yeah velo was 92-93 on his FB. He's just a shell of the guy that debuted in 2021 at this point.
  10. Cousins velo is down a disturbing amount. His FB since he came off the IL is sitting at 92-93 and him being bad feels very much because of that poor velo. I feel like he's a potential DFA candidate this season.
  11. Misiorowski right now looks like a guy that everyone was shocked he was promoted to AA so aggressively. I still don’t understand why he was promoted so aggressively. I know the stuff is absolutely good enough but did not feel like his control showed good enough to A+ to warrant being pushed to AA.
  12. There was one against the Pirates in June I believe.
  13. Why is this site letting an “author” post not one but two “articles” calling Noah Campbell a potential two-way player when he never pitched in high school or college? He’s pitched 4 innings in his entire career. In the 9th inning of 18-9, 21-3, 17-5 losses and then in the 9th inning of a gimmick game where they let Campbell play an inning at every single position during the game (which btw is also the only game he’s ever caught yet the author said Campbell is an emergency catcher). He’s not a potential pitcher option. He’s not an emergency catcher. Why is stuff like that being allowed to be posted in incredibly opinionated hyperbolic articles without shreds of actual data or analysis? If these articles were one-offs it would be a different story but this author is allowed to post 5+ articles a week?
  14. And he’s been nowhere near that good since coming off the IL which you’ve been told dozens of times
  15. Last 102 PA: 8.8% BB-rate, 8.8% K-rate, 1.00 BB/K Last 202 PA: 8.4% BB-rate, 14.9% K-rate, 0.57 BB/K Last 251 PA: 8.4% BB-rate, 16.7 % K-rate, 0.50 BB/K Last 301 PA: 8.0% BB-rate, 17.9% K-rate, 0.44 BB/K Maybe you should pay attention to what he's actually doing instead of focusing on his entire career including the DSL. Sure the BB-rate isn't good, but he is continually cutting down the K-rate over the course of the season to the point where he's striking out under 10% over the last 100 PA.
  16. Making a 2024 potential rookie list and having Chourio and Quero as footnotes also Meeker and Junk over Rodriguez…once again absolutely speechless. Also stop saying Campbell flashes two-way potential. If you’re going to post 5 articles a week at least try to be serious with your work.
  17. I had no clue someone actually reported that we inquired on Jimenez. That’s really cool if true. That would be a big time trade. I genuinely have no clue on his trade value though because of the injuries, him only being a DH, and the contract being fair but not anything too special.
  18. Would be nice if the Cards could win a couple of games against the Cubs in this 4 game series
  19. Down on the Farm did an evaluation of this Brewers have been the better drafting team relative to draft pick value. https://downonthefarm.substack.com/p/the-most-successful-drafting-organizations
  20. I certainly hope so when they are drafting in front of Milwaukee in a large portion of those years
  21. Feel like that would be safe to assume. He's one of the best defensive 1B in baseball.
  22. He's been fantastic since the short minor league break. After going 2-3 with 2 BB today he's slashing .302/.464/.535 in 56 PA with a 21% BB-rate and 19.6% K-rate which is good for about a 150 wRC+.
  23. Brewers improve 1B defense and offense in one move. Not bad at all. Severino might turn into something, but that would be so far down the road that it just doesn't matter. Hope Santana can get hot for a couple of months here and give us a nice middle of the order bat.
  24. He has the best K-BB% of the Brewers rotation. His issue has largely come down to too many mistake pitches over the plate getting hit out of the park. His xERA after yesterday is 3.89 which is 60th percentile so not bad, but the 29th percentile Barrel Rate is likely where you find the issue and sure enough his 1.49 HR/9 is 47th among the 59 qualified pitchers. If he can limit the HR ball, he will start to pitch much better.
