    By my math Vaughn after tonight has a .664 OPS against RHP. Frelick by my math after toinght has a .681 OPS against RHP. Yelich is at .707. So Vaughn no longer is better against RHP than them and @liveforoctober is correct.

    I assume you mean Uribe was already up because he was warming for the 8th because Ashby got into some trouble?

    Some smart baseball people that I follow on social media seem to be really high on Marchand's bat. I've seen some say he has some of the highest hitting potential in the draft.

    Wande has been on a particularly dominant stretch here. In his last 4 starts he's gone 25.2 IP, 17 H, 3 R, 2 ER, 1 BB, 32 SO. Feel like he's always been more interesting than his results being a big LHP with promising velo.

    I saw on Made's HR that he switched to a toe tap. Anyone know when he actually made that change?

    Clay Holmes actually does seem like a Brewers move though him having a player option could complicate things in terms of value. I think he probably declines it but tough to value those things.

    I'm curious to see how far Bumila falls. He already had internal brace surgery and now sounds like he might need TJ?

    McCalvy wrote an article today talking about Yelich and you're not going to get your wish. Murphy said he isn't going to move Yelich down in the order

    I was definitely thinking more longterm than just this year but yeah them selling this year is definitely a good thing for the Brewers this year. I just think they have some really good young players and don't want them to insulate that young core even more by selling at the deadline.

    That's very true plus it's always fun to do this to a divisional opponent. We did the same to the Cubs in 2021 I think it was?

    Not sure that's a good thing haha. I was kind of hoping they didn't make the sensible decision to sell considering they were supposed to be rebuilding this year.

    Perkins still switch hitting. Struck out on 3 pitches to leadoff the game batting left handed

    Traditionally yes but I don't really think modern lineups are built that same way.

    Maybe but I doubt it. This has been a thing with William long before the earthquakes in Venezuela.

    Yeah I feel you there. Some of the best raw power on the team but for some reason he's decided he wants to be a low strikeout contact hitter. Feels like his effort level is very inconsistent. Some nights he just looks like he's going through the motions (has happened a lot lately)

    William should decline the ASG invitation so it goes to someone more deserving. He does not deserve to be there the way he has played this year.

    Oh I would absolutely love if the Brewers won the first two games of the Pirates series and decided to just do a bullpen game in game 3 to give Misiorowski extra rest.

    Bitonti with a 2 HR day. Hit the first to LF and the second was absolutely cranked. 113.8 EV to right field.

    Would look much better with Payne and Pena in the lineup.

    I get it but Horton was also a guy with a pretty extensive injury history. Misiorowski to this point has had a clean bill of health. I think his only injury was a meniscus tear as a freshman in Juco. I don't think the Brewers are going to jeopardize Misiorowski's long term for the short term so if he gets up to like 180 IP this year, I'm going to trust the Brewers know what they are doing.

    You can throw in Drohan going 6 innings yesterday as well and if it hadn't been for a really sloppy defensive inning he might have also gone 7

    Lara scoring from first on that Turang double that didn't even get close to the warning track and wasn't some crazy gap splitter was so impressive. Obviously he doesn't have the beautiful gazelle type stride that Yelich does but that was probably the best baserunning I've seen since Yelich was in his prime.
