  1. Don't love seeing Nestor sit 88-90 with the FB tonight
  2. Travis Smith looks like he's starting to put things together. He's pitching with a lot of confidence lately.
  3. Backdated to 7/15 so if he has a minimum IL stint he will be back for game 1 of the homestand next weekend.
  4. Took one AB for me to say just get to the guy up to Appleton already. First time through the order he looked a cut above all the other Mudcats hitters.
  5. Yeah it's the modern players who are obsessed with money and glory who watch themselves on the big screen to showboat lol. It's the players responded to the bullpen. The bullpen waves at them so they wave back. It's not some cynical self absorbed thing like you for whatever reason.
  6. It's more co-headliners. You're getting 2 Top 100 guys in Pratt and Quero who are similarly valued. If you want a Made/Pena headliner, you aren't going to get a second piece as big as a Quero.
  7. Yeah that's certainly possible and I'd agree the Brewers are not going to trade Made or Pena. I do think this would be appealing for Nats as it gives them guys much closer to MLB and I think the Nats probably want to build their next contender around James Wood.
  8. Want to start this off as I don't think this trade would happen as I don't think the Nationals are going to trade Abrams but here it is anyway. BTV value in parentheses Brewers Receive - CJ Abrams (50.1) Nationals Receive - Cooper Pratt (28.8), Jeferson Quero (24.1), Tobias Myers (6) BTV has this is a slight overpay by the Brewers with Brewers giving up $58.9M surplus value and receiving $50.1 surplus value I think the big question would be if Turang can play SS or if the Brewers think they could fix Abrams defense.
  9. Justin Yeager finally gets his well deserved promotion to AAA
  10. Dalbec is a textbook AAAA player. The guy has a 34% K-rate in AAA this year.
  11. They still play baseball down in Arizona after the season ends, it’s just instructional league not official Complex League games.
  12. He has 1 OAA and -2 DRS in about 500 career innings at 1B. Thats plenty solid.
  13. Rice can play a solid 1B. He doesn't need to be strictly a DH
  14. Chad Patrick for Ben Rice straight up. What do you all say?
  15. Is this on youtube or somewhere? Would love to listen.
  16. MLB has the advantage that baseball is tough to half ass like hockey, basketball, and football. Guys certainly aren't going to go all out in the field or on the basepaths in the ASG but the core of baseball is really pitching and hitting and it's tough to half ass those two things especially so pitching.
  17. Duran is one of 3 16 year olds to make the ASG across the entire DSL. He turns 17 in a week.
  18. Looks like we have 3 DSL All-Stars C - Jonathan Rangel RHP - Steven Duran LHP - Joan Pena
  19. Uribe's slider is nasty. Hunter Brown got asked during the ASB what is one pitch he wishes he could add and he said Bryan Abreu's slider or Uribe's slider. You know a pitch is nasty when an AL starter is talking about how he wishes he could add an NL reliever's pitch
  20. Have we had any clarification if Ty Duvall is actually on the development list in AAA or did he transition to a coaching role as bullpen catcher?
  21. You can only backdate a player three days from when you put them on the IL.
  22. I feel like I've said this like 20 times at this point so one more won't hurt but the Brewers had plenty of 40-man spots available. It was never Tyler Jay or Shane Smith for the last 40-man spot. Even after drafting Connor Thomas in the Rule 5 draft, I believe they had 3 open spots on the 40.
  23. If money doesn't matter then it shouldn't matter to the Brewers ownership group as well, right? Can't they just match the best offer Woodruff gets? The ownership group is far wealthier than any player. Why is the onus on the player to sacrifice money and not on the ownership group valued in the billions? Woodruff is selfish if he takes the best offer in FA, but the Brewers ownership group isn't selfish for valuing an annual profit over keeping him around?
