    I wouldn't be surprised if this is the best Pallante has pitched in his entire life. His stuff is up today and he's locating like an 80 grade command guy. Basically everything has been on the edges or corners today.

    Pitching is just going to be what's most convenient for the pitcher in terms of travel/weather. Wade Miley is the only player I can recall having a rehab assignment in AA in the recent years. The reason you see so many pitching rehab assignments in A+ is because it's a short drive from Milwaukee so the pitchers can drive up the day of/night before then drive back down after they pitch.

    Having a dead ball this season is honestly a good thing for the Brewers. Fewer HR in Brewers games typically is going to be a good thing for the Brewers.

    No position player rehab stints typically just go straight from the ACL to AAA.

    That's bush league from Yerlin though saying he went up and in on the previous two pitches is crazy. 100% intentional from Yerlin

    DSL run scoring coming into today was up from 5.26 last year to 5.64 this year.

    He's replacing Cameron who went on the paternity list. Replacing a player who goes on the IL/paternity/bereavement voids the required 15 days for a pitcher to be in the minors after being optioned. Personally I think it's dumb that you can use a position player going on one of those lists to bring back up a pitcher, but it's a loophole that the Brewers have used quite a bit the last couple of years.

    I had no issue with a trade request. He's putting himself first which is fine. Just don't like that he and his agent made it public. But hey he got his way and got sent to the White Sox. I don't wish him to fail but I also just don't care at all if he succeeds.

    Carolina is moving to Wilson and getting a new park. Wisconsin did some major renovations and has a great facility for A+. Quintana on his rehab assignment said it's a AAA quality facility for the players. Not sure on Biloxi but that park is only a decade old I believe.

    He did sign a deal to avoid arbitration that has a club option for next year so that's what I'm guessing you saw. He just has Arb 3 and Arb 4 after the club option.

    Duran still has 3 more years of team control after this year. He would be very expensive to acquire.

    The AAA manager Rick Sweet said in an interview with Jeff Hem the Sounds radio guy that Quero's arm is probably just going to be above average going forward and not double plus like it used to be.

    Jesus Liranzo got a called strike 3 to end the game. It was challenged and changed to ball 4. The next batter hit a 3-run walkoff HR.

    He's 5 months older than Misiorowski but kind of Misiorowski-esque and tonight was a night where he had good feel for command

    This Eriq Swan guy on the Great Lakes Loons has got to be one of the most underrated prospects in all of baseball. How he's an org top 15-30 guy makes no sense to me. One of the best looking pitchers I've seen all year in the minor leagues regardless of level.

    The last calendar year hasn't been very fun for Tyler Woessner. Started off last season dominating in the Biloxi rotation and was promoted to AAA where everything kind of just fell apart for him. Now he's org depth getting sent to A+ with Wisconsin in a pitching bind.

    Yeah mostly just focusing on position players though not sure I would have any pitcher above those 4 in terms of ceiling. There's not like a Misiorowski type pitcher there with a super obvious ace level ceiling.

    So Joseph ripped off a bit of a hot take about Dinges earlier in the thread. I've got a bit of a hot take involving Dinges as well. Of the Brewers 2023 and 2024 draft picks, I think Payne and Dinges have the two highest ceilings. These guys both have legit power upside and have flashed the tools to feel confident enough that they will stick at premium defensive spots in CF and C. I'd have Pratt and Bitonti behind them at 3 and 4. I'm just not as high on Pratt's bat as most. I just don't think there's as much power in there as others think and while Bitonti probably has the highest offensive ceiling of the two drafts him seemingly already pushed down the defensive spectrum to 1B really dampers his ceiling for me.

    I am still very down on the Brewers offense but the pitching has been extremely enjoyable to watch since the calendar hit April. Another great team pitching performance tonight.

    We just got bamboozled by gameday. They briefly had the ACL Brewers winning 2-1 but then it corrected and the ACL Brewers were instead walked off 3-2 in the 7th.
