    Basically Pratt for Otto Lopez? That seems like a bargain for the Brewers. Rodriguez, Black, and Hudson have very little trade value. Pratt looks like a glove first contact hitter which is pretty much what Otto Lopez is. Not seeing much of an argument for Ortiz being better than Lopez. Lopez has a career 97 wRC+ with 17 DRS and 21 OAA in his career. Ortiz has a career 87 wRC+ with 3 DRS and 18 OAA in his career. Lopez underlying batted bull numbers are much better than Ortiz as well.

    Skenes last year threw 160 innings and this year is on pace for 180-200 depending on how much the Pirates want to push him. Misiorowski maybe tops out around 130-140 this year.

    Surprised they were all that low but the fact none of them have good gloves probably pushes them down a bit.

    A solid amount more. Skenes has 2 (maybe 1 depending on Misiorowski's ROTY finish) fewer years of control but he's fully built up to handle an MLB workload and has a significantly longer track record of success than Misiorowski.

    We should be getting statcast data for the ACL game tonight. I believe both times they have played at the Reds we have had it.

    I'm just hoping Arizona plays their way into WC contention before the deadline and keep Suarez. I don't think the Brewers would pony up to trade for the best rental player on the market and I don't want the Cubs to get him.

    I don’t know if the article was ever posted here, but he’s also a gigantic Oklahoma fan. Like grew up dreaming of playing for Oklahoma and his room is decked out in Oklahoma stuff type of fan. I think it’s probably as much Oklahoma as it is betting on himself.

    I don’t see why Miami would sell Lopez but that would be a really nice fit for the Brewers to target. Would not be cheap though.

    Looks like Sean Episcope and Josiah Ragsdale have also signed according to the BA Tracker. Episcope signed for $335,550 which is $111,850 under slot. Ragsdale signed for $237,500 which is $32,200 under slot. That puts the Brewers at $364,950 under slot through their first 3 signings.

    Why will he get that in the offseason? He's a year older than he was last offseason when he had a similar season to this year and only got 1 year for $4.25M

    No the Brewers should probably not extend the 36 year old pitcher with severely regressing underlying numbers to a 2 year deal.

    Bryant's reaction there reminded me of many pitcher's when the UCL goes pop. Did not look good.

    He was at $5.8M this year and I think the max pay cut you can get in arbitration is 20%. He might be worth a flyer at around $5M

    Vaughn actually has 2 more years of team control because he won't get a full season of service time this season. His arb cost might get in the way of him having 2 more years of team control

    I seem to be alone on the island that Blake Burke really doesn't deserve a promotion. This is a guy who is hitting for basically no power and still has an uncomfortable amount of swing and miss in his game.

    Yeah I agree on the Fischer part. The trade deadline looming is the bigger thing this year though it seems Brock has contingencies in place if a player on the list gets traded.

    Seems like someone who would sign for like $200-250K so only like $50-100K going towards the bonus pool.

    From what I've dug into on Ebel and from this MLB.com article, he's just so similar to Turang when we drafted him. Both grew up in Corona. Both had family in baseball so they really grew up around the sport. Both committed to LSU. Both were very well regarded preps who slipped a bit in their draft year due to not having a big senior year. Both SS with smooth left handed swings. Ebel is bigger with less speed and less defense but hopefully he has a trajectory like Turang and can become a Brewer in the future.

    He has a chance but definitely an outside one. Probably has 12 more starts this year and 8 wins away.

    Cal Raleigh exists so probably not. Though Smith is the clear best catcher in the NL this year.
