  1. Brewers will be much better off when guys like Matos, Jones, Perkins, and Lockridge are off the big league roster.
  2. You don't understand why fans might be more lenient towards a guy having a slow start coming off a 114 wRC+ season than a guy having a slow start coming off a 67 wRC+ season?
  3. Don't have time to look into the numbers but you can find minor league statcast data through the minor league search feature on baseball savant. Here's a link - https://baseballsavant.mlb.com/statcast-search-minors
  4. I'd say there's a chance Crow stays up and just moves to the bullpen. I think it depends on how he pitches today. If he has a short outing and they burn a lot of the pen then they probably swap him out for a fresh arm. If he pitches well and goes like 5 innings and the pen is in fine shape then he might stay up and get pushed into the pen.
  5. Diaz still has another year of control after this year so don't think Tampa would be trading him unless they are out of the race and trying to save some money. Even then Diaz is a 1B/DH so not a great fit on our roster unless Vaughn just isn't the same guy post hamate injury.
  6. Peoria doing unholy things to the Timber Rattlers pitching staff tonight
  7. Ebel has gotten off to a slow start in his pro career. Between this year and last he's slashing .172/.297/.183 in 111 PA. Only one extra base hit.
  8. Signing him to that contract is about 7-10 years from now buying out FA years. That doesn’t mean he’s ready now. You don’t sign these guys for immediate payouts.
  9. Vinny Rottino is such a homer. Claims he doesn't see anything wrong with Megill's stuff when his velo, spin, and stuff+ are all considerably down.
  10. I never said they will be worse. I just disagreed with you comment saying "they can't possibly be worse"
  11. Shouldn't that also apply to the guys on the MLB roster that you want to replace?
  12. Also just realized Payne didn't play in either of the DH games today. Is he hurt as well?
  13. Looks like Adamczewski might have gotten hurt when he crashed into the wall in LF after his catch as I don't think he's played a game since then?
  14. If they have real talent and hit tools then why have they stunk it up in AAA to start the year in both surface level numbers and underlying numbers?
  15. It could most definitely be worse. Williams and Pratt are hitting just as bad as the current left side of the infield and they are doing it facing AAA pitching.
  16. Even though the Brewers are 8-7 there are some pretty concerning areas that aren't related to Chourio/Vaughn being injured. 1. The left side of the infield looks really bad and Williams and Pratt have given little reason to believe they can help fix that in the near future. 2. The bullpen is a mess. Megill, Uribe, and Zerpa have all seen their stuff drop off considerably compared to last year. Koenig is hurt. 3. The OF depth looks to be a problem. Even when Chourio returns, they don't look like they can absorb Mitchell getting injured.
  17. The Brewers having a terrible series and getting swept by the Nationals in these ugly "City" Connect uniforms is certainly not going to help the already negative fan opinion of these jerseys
  18. Kind of funny how different opinions can be because I feel like Zerpa has been very underwhelming so far. I know the ERA looks fine but the 11% K-rate, stuff being down, and underlying numbers are quite scary. He had issues putting hitters away in KC and it's a reason why he never really pitched his way into a leverage role there.
  19. Do not love that 5.9% whiff rate from Letson
  20. Not ideal to lose a game to the Nationals when your manager manages it like a playoff game from a pitching perspective.
  21. Tough start to the year for Letson. Goes 1.1 IP in both starts. Seems to be really struggling to throw strikes.
  22. Oh no. Ibarguen started coming in on a ball that landed near the warning track. What should have been a sac fly turns into an RBI double. Salem's announcers are saying how unimpressed they have been with Wilson's defense this week especially compared to what level of A ball team Milwaukee typically puts out. It makes sense. This is a really young team that is also quite a bit thinner in terms of prospect quality compared to what we are used to seeing from our A ball team.
  23. Nats spread out the LHH a bit. Those 4 are hitting 1-3-5-7 today. They alternated L-R-L through the first 7 hitters.
  24. Cubs fans are incredible. Counsell is getting a ton of backlash online for pulling Imanaga who had a no hitter after 6 innings. They already have 3 SP on the IL with 1 done for the year and fans are pissed that Counsell pulls the guy who had 100 pitches through 6 innings and no chance of finishing the game.
  25. I assume that 50th EV is the median batted ball EV and not savant's EV50 which is the average of the top 50% batted balls?
