  1. Murphy just overused Patrick. He's never been used like a true reliever before. Pushing him 3 in 4 all at elevation was too much. Should have give him more time off. Clearly looks like a guy who is fatigued right now.
  2. Feel like Patrick might have needed another day off.
  3. Don’t think that’s it’s. He has a 152 wRC+ against RHP in that stretch. Only 5 against LHP.
  4. Unfortunate. Mitchell smoked that one but right at Stott
  5. Chourio is putting it all together. He’s been very good in June
  6. Yeli’s underlying numbers and eye test look so bad this year. I’m scared he’s really going to cool off.
  7. I think Drohan pitched better than his line today for sure.
  8. You can’t convince me Sal is healthy. That throw was horrible from him. Absolutely no juice on it.
  9. This ump has been a total disaster. Squeezing Drohan like crazy so far
  10. I didn't think it at the time because the injury listed was flexor strain but now I kind of just think that Crow went on the IL because they didn't want to option him to AAA because he's already been optioned a bunch this season.
  11. There's not many. Especially when you factor in age. Wood for example was 20 years old when he did that in AA not 22 like Fischer is. Filtering 2006 to 2026 in A+ with minimum 250 AB and a K-rate north of 30% and wRC+ greater than 120 wRC+. That is 40 players. Like @CheeseheadInQC mentioned Elly is the cream of the crop with a 160 wRC+ and 30.7% K-rate though he was also in his age 20 season when he did that. Matt Wallner had a 33% K-rate in A+ and has a 122 wRC+ over his first 1100 MLB PA. Heriberto Hernandez had a 31% K-rate in A+ and has a 110 wRC+ over his first 400 MLB PA. Some other young MLB guys who made the list are Carson Williams and Henry Bolte. A lot of names I don't recognize some names that I recognize but didn't really pan out at the big league level like Bobby Dalbec. Here's the link to that minor league search - https://www.fangraphs.com/leaders/minor-league?pos=all&level=3&lg=&stats=bat&qual=0&type=1&team=&season=2006&seasonEnd=2026&org=all&ind=0&splitTeam=false&players=&sort=19,1&filter=K%|gt|0.3,AB|gt|250,wRC%2B|gt|120&pg=0
  12. Here's some Frias side view both normal speed and some slow mo from tonight courtesy of BA's Josh Norris.
  13. Longenhagen talked about Frias a bit during his chat earlier today.
  14. Someone mentioned it over on BCB but we were potentially a short Chad Fairchild fuse away from a perfect game for Misiorowski. I'm sure there's more than one ump in the league who tosses Schwarber after he struck out in the first inning.
  15. Dreaded flexor strain for Crow. Not ideal. Injuries are really starting to add up with the pitching staff. 10 pitchers on the IL and only one healthy pitcher on the 40 in AAA in McGee.
  16. Hate being a strong word is basically entirely my point. I don't understand how fans can feel that passionately about other teams and fanbases. I obviously don't want the Cubs and Cardinals and I don't like them or want them to win but I don't hate them. I also don't just blindly hate all the players on their team.
  17. I've never understood the hate aspect of fandom. It all just feels so weird to me to hate teams or fans based on where you were born.
  18. Do not love seeing this from Koenig. Velo was way down today compared to his season average and his season average is like 1-2 ticks below where he was last year.
  19. You feel that strongly that the Brewers will trade Contreras this offseason? Honestly even if they trade Contreras, I think they would be looking for a catcher via trade/FA to at least split time with Quero.
  20. ESPN has him at 23 and BA at 31 so seems like consensus would be late 20's.
  21. Mitchell is already in Arb 1 at $950K. He's not going to get expensive in arb because he's had so many injuries and hasn't racked up playing time or numbers. I'm also not sure why people say we need to be patient with him. He has a 116 wRC+.
  22. He's more capable of playing in the infield than players who have never played in the infield. Yes that's blatantly obvious. That doesn't mean he's capable of starting and playing 9 innings at 3B.
  23. You were talking about Vaughn starting games and play full games at 3B. He slid there today for an inning because they burned their entire bench. These are not the same things.
  24. He's currently 185th on their overall list.
