    Swapping Gasser for a bullpen arm doesn't help the current problem of being thin on leverage availability. If the Brewers needed innings ate today they could have had Wilson eat the innings. Adding someone like Stallings wouldn't have changed anything.

    I'd also say if they were mailing it in, I don't think you see them bounce back as well as they did after losing 22-0. They beat us the next game and then they fought back to make it a competitive game after going down 6-0 in the first inning in game three.

    Lara should have his challenge privileges removed after that. Absolutely unacceptable.

    0 outs and I think it's an okay not great challenge. 2 outs and I think that's just a bad challenge. The likelihood you're going to have a 2 out rally against Sale with the bottom of the order is really low. Up 2-0 you should probably just be saving that challenge for the pitching side.

    No xBA has nothing to do with catch probability.

    xBA isn't relevant for fielding because it doesn't factor in where the ball was hit or defensive positioning. All it factors in is EV and LA.

    Pratt and Lara seem to be trending hard in the wrong direction at the plate. Hopefully they can turn the tides between now and the postseason

    Do you know what the tiebreakers are if they win and the Giants beat Kansas City tomorrow? If it is run differential they would need to win by 4 runs.

    Crazy that they waited until their first home series after the rookie eligibility cutoff passed to call up their prospect and didn't call him up to debut on the road!

    I feel like these games where you get out to a big lead and let the other team back into it are more stressful than the low scoring games where you have the lead because it feels like the other team has momentum when they cut the lead from 6 to 2.

    I definitely did get some FOMO during that A's series this year where it felt like Kurtz could get to any ball thrown to him.

    I think switch hitters typically just hit on whatever side they prefer hitting from when facing position players

    Can't say I've ever seen a pitcher removed from a game due to injury with the injury being a thumb cramp in his glove hand.

    To clinch any playoff spot would be 25. You would use Arizona because they are 7th in the NL not San Diego. They have 60 losses but the Brewers have the tiebreaker over them so it would be 162-77-60=25.

    Having 26 more PA than second most on the team and 72 more PA than third most on the team is probably the biggest reason.

    I think it will be Lockridge going down. His underlying numbers have been horrific this year and what little offensive success he's had has been on the back of a .400 BABIP. I think you can keep Lara up and rotate playing time pretty evenly between Mitchell, Frelick, and Lara in CF and RF.

    Interesting because it was also reported as a grade 2 oblique strain which has typically come with a 6-8 week recovery
