  1. Oh there were definitely some that wanted Megill to stay the closer.
  2. Still can't believe some Brewers fans wanted him in the 8th inning with Megill closing when he came off the IL. He and Clase are in a class of their own since they debuted. Best RP in baseball.
  3. Murphy trusted his gut leaving Montas in 2 batters too long and it worked out. Didn't work out the second time he tried leaving Koenig in too long.
  4. This pitcher for Delmarva is a big boy. He makes @Joseph Zarr's old favorite Jakob Brustoski look svelte in comparison.
  5. It's hard to tell with the camera angle from RF but Woodward looked pretty nasty that inning. If I had to choose a single word to describe how his pitches looked I would say tight
  6. From national level evaluators absolutely. Nobody was getting near the hype than Made has gotten. Kiley even listed Luis Pena as inside his Top 150 which is also probably more hyped/higher ranking than any of those previous 3 when they were still in the DSL
  7. Agreed. It's also extremely nice getting public statcast data for AAA. Hopefully someday we will have statcast data for all the minor leagues.
  8. Sadly DSL Brewers 1 lost another one today. Winning 3-1 heading into the bottom of the 7th in a 7 inning affair and we had a blown save and ended up losing 4-5 in the 8th inning.
  9. He has just had some very clear adjustment periods. He struggled in RF for about a month then was absolutely lights out (yes even including that play in Miami that had like 1% catch probability). He's now going through those same adjustments in LF where frankly he looks totally out of sorts at the moment.
  10. Which I suppose is possible, but that would be a bit bizarre considering Perkins was being used as basically a weak side platoon bat since Mitchell was called up.
  11. At this point if he doesn’t debut in Carolina it would be a disappointment. Brewers have started lesser prospects coming out of the DSL in Carolina like Lara and Yophery. Luis Pena seems like a pretty good chance of starting in Carolina as well.
  12. They should definitely hire you. I mean all the teams should. You clearly know hitting better than they do.
  13. Really think pipeline does a good job with the midseason individual top 30 rankings. Feel like both this year and last year it did for the most part a really good job of ranking the system
  14. Great first AB from Murph's cleanup hitter.
  15. CF is a bit generous. That's a RF (or as @Joseph Zarr calls it LF) cam haha
  16. Was that a bunt? Looked like a check swing to me so basically just crazy luck that it was perfectly hit. Edit: Went back and looked and it was a half hearted full swing. Basically a sword that he actually made contact on.
  17. I see someone let Pat get into the booze again with this lineup tonight
  18. He was good in June too. This has just been a slump since the start of July and it's been basically unplayable bad slump.
  19. Damn so 2 TJ and a knee surgery in a span of 2 years...that's crazy.
  20. Has he had 2 TJ's? I know he's had one for sure, but I've only ever seen it mentioned that he had a knee surgery and TJ. I can't recall ever reading he's' had TJ twice. Agree on your other points. Maybe down the line he might become a SP but as an almost 25 year old, it seems overkill to keep him in the minors to build up innings when he clearly can be getting guys out in the MLB.
  21. Would be wild if the Brewers 2 finished the season with a better record than Brewers 1.
  22. I don't think that's an in zone rate of 71%. I think that's just an overall strike rate of 71% which includes a lot of chase but it's hard to know because he said landing it as a strike 71% of the time which I agree is easy to interpret as throwing it in the zone 71% of the time.
  23. The Just Baseball guys on the call up podcast were raving about Yoho and Misiorowski as pen arms down the stretch. Jack in particular who saw them both pitch during the series against Indy this week. He's a part of Indy's radio call. Link the video right where they start talking about Yoho and Misiorowski.
  24. Hedbert Perez was assigned to Wisconsin. Looks like he might be making his 2024 debut tonight!
  25. I'm not arguing against myself. I'm saying he's been misused because he's been bad not because he's being asked to pitch a higher leverage role than last year (what you have argued). That's pretty clear if you'd have been paying attention. You keep citing that he's been good because he's putting up zeros ignoring that he keeps allowing inherited runners to score. Since the ASB he has -0.44 WPA which is by far the worst in the pen with the next lowest being -0.04. In that time has a 111 FIP- and 4.01 xERA so yeah not good. He needs to go to AAA.
