That inning from Misiorowski was seriously impressive. He had a curveball in the dirt, but outside of that basically everything was either in the zone or within an inch of the zone. A few more outings like that and he will be in the Brewers bullpen soon enough.
We've seen everyone in the outfield shift positions for defensive changes. Example Perkins comes in at CF, Frelick slides to RF, Chourio to LF. Other reasons are Ortiz has a better arm and quicker transfer which are very important at the SS position.
Hope everything is alright with Letson and Birchard. Letson was originally supposed to start Saturday and Birchard on Sunday and now neither are starting this week.
That's largely due to bat path though which you already said. Adames bat path leaves him extremely susceptible to pitches up. Mitchell is another player like that even though his swing is considerably shorter and more compact than Adames and Hoskins. Mitchell just cannot get the bat to pitches up. At this point he's whiffing more than Hiura at upper third and higher pitches. Like with Adames you can pretty visually see a pronounced uppercut in his swing at times.
Also just literally speaking a swing on a pitch up will lead to a shorter swing than a pitch down as the barrel just doesn't need to travel as far to reach the impact point. Size probably plays a part as well. Taller player and you likely will have a longer swing. Impact point as well. Adames and Hoskins are both big pull hitters so they want to make contact out in front to pull the ball which leads to a technically longer swing. As opposed to a Frelick or Turang who want to see the ball longer and have a deeper contact point to shoot balls to left center.
I don't think Hoskins is great against pitches up. At least this year. The whiff and damage numbers aren't really anything to write home about, but I do agree that he's much better at getting to those pitches than Adames.
Never mentioned launch or attack angle so don't know why you're replying that to me. I was just calling out the blatant lie that Hoskins has a short, compact swing.
Uhhh Hoskins mostly definitely does not have a short, compact swing. He has the 7th longest average swing length in the MLB this year and just marginally shorter than Adames who has the 5th longest swing.

Peguero still has 2 options left. Peguero, Koenig, Myers are the only pitchers on the active roster who have options and are under 5 years service time.
Elvis has options so I can't imagine he gets DFA'd. He's certainly a candidate to be optioned though. Just can't see him being DFA'd when guys like Ashby, Herget, Jay, Capra are on the 40-man.
I don't know for sure about Super 2 status, but I think he will be Super 2 which would mean 2 more pre-arb years then 4 years of arbitration. Free agent after the 2030 season. If he's not Super 2 it would mean 3 more pre-arb years then 3 years of arbitration.
Also there's the fact he was used in a tie game with an inherited runner in the 8th inning tonight. He's clearly not a candidate to be DFA'd at this point.
Oh I said earlier in this thread that I feel like early season Hudson won't be back again this year. Seems he was ridden into the ground and he just can't regain the juice this year. Will be interesting to see what they do with him. I imagine he will go straight back to the MLB pen after this rehab assignment but if he struggles they might option him.
Who knows. Maybe if the umps didn't blow that blatant interference by Judge against us earlier this year we would have the best run differential in the MLB on August 10th
Oh I totally agree with you there Joseph, but I think the Brewers have zero interest in burning Hall's final option. As one of the two pieces in the Burnes return, I doubt they want to have a potential situation next year where Hall is out of options and a DFA candidate
I don't know if he or Ross are starting tomorrow probably a piggy back type situation, but it's not going to be Rea. Brewers have had the starter for tomorrow left empty all weekend. If it was Rea he would just be listed as the starter.
