You would think a deal is there to be had one way or another with us needing a hypothetical power corner infielder. Not sure where Mets are lacking but yeah since Pratt is a legit SS ebj isn’t really needed a whole lot.

We thought we got a bargain a year ago for Hoskins. There is no awesome deal to be had in trading the leader that underperformed a bit last year. Any trade talk is yadayadayadayada. Not happening. Just expect and hope for a great contract year from the talented vet needed more after Willy departed.

Would you do the above deal if Stearns agreed? We’d get a power bat at 3B/1b and a hedge with Durbin? I’d want the lottery pitcher thrown in given that we are giving up a controlled arm here. Thoughts? I could see Stearns agreeing to this one…

I too would pass. We have Durbin now and we hopefully sign a Moncada/Polanco type and just go with Durbin and to a lesser degree the modest free agent we inevitably sign.

Rather deal Contreras to Boston for Casas AND Mayer. I can live with Haase starting and Quero on the ready .

A good beat writer would have some names. Of course we don’t have a good beat writer. But wondering if we are showing interest in names like Momcada, Polanco, Lorenzen, maybe even Alonso or Flaherty to some degree? I guess we will hear nothing which is fine but just makes December and January more boring than for the other clubs with writers plugged in on who their team is pursuing to whatever limited degree.

Turboriffic hates our guys and sees something like Povich as a fair dealio for Peralta. Luckily Sal Bando/Dean Taylor ***I mean Turboriffic****, doesn’t behold the GM position of the brewers and a guy closer to Scooter Fletcher that correctly values the values of our players (Matt Arnold) does.

Who says no? Rengifo can play wherever but guessing third for us. Durbin gets a year in the Mona role where we find out if he is starter caliber on a playoff team in 2026. Anyone like this deal?

Probably not Civale. But if woodruff returns to form obviously yes. And I think Cortes will too. I’d like to extend one of the two if deemed healthy.
