    "SUV" isn't as awful a label as people make it out to be. My Cherokee gets 25 highway and some "SUV's" get near 30, which is better than many cars. There's a big difference between an H2 and a Vue or Santa Fe. Sports cars with oversized engines, IMO, are the worst. You're paying a ton of money and wasting a ton of gas on a feature that does you no good. Who cares if it goes 170 when you never get above 30 in metropolitan traffic?

    You can say "dude." In grad school we determined that 'dude' is gender-neutral. It's an all-purpose word. I've suggested it can be used as a tact, mand, and intraverbal, and quite easily at that. It's also how I pretend that I haven't forgotten someone's name.

    The only explanation for this is that they're merely sticking up for Vick because they don't want the best sticky-icky supplier in the NFL to go down. Then they'd have to go back to buying from that shady Ricky Williams, who's known to short you a bit.

    As long as he has options, I don't know why KC would want to deal him. They aren't going anywhere until 2008, probably not 2009. He has to have options, since he was brought up to the bigs in his 2nd season after being drafted. He has only been sent down since then one time in 2006. He's gotta have 2 options years left.

    You mean like how Brit's call a cigarette a fag? Ignorance doesn't solely fall on those who are deemed offensive. But in that case, it's kinda grandfathered in since the AFAIK term was used long before it became a slur, and isn't directly related to the slur. The word in question, however, is used to imply mentally challenged, and not the other definition. Nobody is saying "The maturation process of Ned's decision to pull Sheets for Dessens has has been stunted." Nor do they say "Dude you're such a transitive verb meaning to slow down". "Re----ed Definition: 1. underdeveloped: not fully developed the @#%$ growth of the plant 2. mentally challenged: an offensive term meaning intellectually or emotionally challenged

    i wouldn't say that word is offensive to many...but I can see how it could be offensive Well, the odds of having a child with Autism are about 1 in 166, Down Syndrome is 1 in a couple hundred, and about 2 in 100 people have mental retardation. It's pretty safe to say that a lot of people have someone with a mental handicap in their family, work with them, or have family friends with handicaps in the family.

    I think if political talk is banned, any mention of Falwell whatsoever can't be allowed. It's like talking about abortion: it just ain't gonna end well no matter how innocent the initial post was.

    I can't even imagine the amount of fan mail these guys get. Frankly, I find it amazing that people report getting as many autos back as they do.

    Am I the only one that dosen't find her to be anything special? Yes she has large...uh....endowments... I'm with you. I'm really not into boobs at all, and to me she just looks like another pretty girl who spends a ton of time polishing herself.

    I agree that this is a curious move. I mean, I could see trading him, but why not try to get a Carlos Villanueva type? By that, I don't mean currently equal to CV, but a low-level throw-in type who at least some day may turn into something you could use. I guess the guy showed some promise for one year back in 2004, but he doesn't even possibly have a future with the team.

    I think the site has gotten to big for us to go back to even the level of civility we had before the political forum was closed. If you assume the same percentage of people who can't keep things civil or refrain from really inappropriate comments, we'd now have maybe 50% more fire starters, which would be way too much to police. It's too bad the politics forum never took off, because it was a great idea. Its failure is why I worried Lambeau Leap wouldn't work, because it seems people just aren't going to go to two different sites. The politics site seemed to be maybe 20% of those of us who like to talk politics, and only a few of us seemed to go there every day. The only idea I had to make the site more visible is to sticky the link to the politics forum and allow people to post that they've started a discussion over there, but not allow the discussion to take place in that thread. I'm really going to miss graduate school, since it has given me a civil and fairly-intelligent "politics forum" in real life. All I'll have when I leave is listening to Mike Gallagher on the drive to work and making wise-mouth comments back to my radio. At least the popularity of bluetooth headsets has made it more acceptable to appear that you're talking to yourself in your car.

    I am willing to leave this be as a difference in opinion between someone who is in the game, and someone who enjoys it. Your arrogance truly knows no bounds. I used to be a boxer and could have beaten up Max Kellerman, but that doesn't mean I know more about boxing than he does. In fact, I've gotten out of touch and couldn't even name all but the major title holders. Having done something doesn't make you an expert by any means. In my case, I was a big strong kid with a very strong neck and solid head - that doesn't mean I know anything.

    There's no way the Brewers would take on Manny's salary If they were stupid enough to give up Ramirez for less than Mark was willing to pay Carlos Lee, I guarantee you he finds a way to make it happen, even if it means spending less in the future. That's such a ridiculous underpayment for Manny that there's no owner or GM in the league that doesn't make it.

    Thanks laserbomb, I was actually going to come back to this thread to ask about it. Could you gimme a little more info? Is it mostly linear or do you explore a lot? I heard that there's a ton of text to read, does that get annoying? Also, would it take a long time to beat or seem to have good replay value? I hate buying games that you beat in a weekend and never wanna play again. On a side note, has anyone played TMNT? Seems like the kind of game that would either be awful or incredibly fun.
