  1. Yup. He and McKinney are just such a good fit at safety. I'd bring Rudy Ford back yet, but you can throw both of them out there and use them interchangeably.
  2. Tampa is loong and could be great in press. Bullard is a less athletic version of DeJean. Not as big a fan of Hicks though...
  3. This is way too early for Davis IMO, but I like him. Isn't he nearly 25 though? May be wrong about that. No shot on Allen for me. Wright is dangerous and Corum is good, also older. Wright I'd be good with or Benson. But I think they have to go secondary here...
  4. Trey Benson would be probably the only skill player I'd want to see here.
  5. I agree. Daniels looks like a stud. I think he could be a better version of Lamar. I don't even think that's hyperbole. His biggest weakness seems to be that he doesn't like throwing it over the middle, but he can dot guys up on the outside of the hashes and he's an electric runner. Lamar's biggest weakness is throwing outside the hashes and you can certainly get a guy to throw the ball between the hashes. Then Newton, Sainstrail, Sinnot? If they'd have taken Paul there, it'd would have been nearly perfect IMO.
  6. I'd go Bullard from UGA, but I'm never mad at OL depth...and all 3 of those are guys with big upsides(the later two more so IMO).
  7. It's possible. Valentine looked really good. Stokes was an outstanding rookie and maybe they have more confidence in him coming back from a really bad injury? Or they think they can add one of the FSU Corners, Bullard from UGA(not a CB, but can play the slot) or Jackson from Oregon?
  8. You don't appreciate the great BJ Sanders era?
  9. I think he's more physical than Quay...but every bit the athlete! I think we got a very good Mike and an outstanding nickel LB!
  10. YUP!!! (But they could have moved down and gotten him...definitely overpaid!)
  11. You're right...we'll see how it goes!
  12. Maybe just ONCE take the obvious player? Edggerin Cooper is sitting there...
  13. Maybe you want to be able to pick up a guy like Joe Milton later, maybe trade up? I'd assume they had a group of players all bunched together at #41. I hope it wasn't the case Philly stole DeJean...and since I don't know, I'll assume they didn't.
  14. Hopefully this doesn't end up being one of those Urlacher/Lewis type stories... #45 is a good spot for another Cooper though. Scratch MLB off the board?
  15. Same here. He's just SUCH a perfect fit next to McKinney. But, Bullard from UGA is a similar player and we added 2 picks to move down 4 spots. Must not like Kool-Aid much either.
  16. They probably were...
  17. And we'll take Colson!
  18. Well...yeah, now we see that! More WRs please! Or...DL, Edge I guess. A 2nd rd of Coopers would be great...though we'll probably pass on him anyway!
  19. Maybe. KIpers "best available," usually does not align with the Packers, but I hear ya. The best teams are usually patient. Baltimore comes to mind. They constantly have guys just fall into their lap by letting the draft come to them. And then if they moved up here, I'd want to move up for the other Cooper! If they stay where they are, maybe they get both!
  20. Cost ATL a lot more...these draft charts kinda get thrown out here.
  21. I'd wait a couple more picks. I would be thrilled with Newton, Kool-Aid OR DeJean at #41. I had DeJean and Morgan at #25/#41, so I'd be thrilled if you just flipped it.
  22. Ok...two WRs...the CBs falling again? Maybe they're just not that good, I don't know...but another offense run helps the Packers. And Mitchell seems likely to go in the next 7 picks.
  23. Ridiculous pick. They double-screwed the Packers. They DON'T take the young QB in McCarthy leaving him to fall to the Vikes, they take the guy who'll be ready for his AARP card when Cousins contract is up... That said, the Vikings and Bears have very little draft capital left.
  24. Yes, they do love the Sr Bowl. I believe that's Kneeland he's going up against. A guy I wouldn't mind seeing in GB end of day 2(that's probably the pick you're losing if you want to move up for DeJean). I'm not sure if they plan on moving Walker to LT though. My prediction would be that they let Morgan compete at both LT and RG and if he can beat out Walker, he does. I would guess a move for Tom comes after next year(and probably after he signs an extension and you'll have to pay him as an elite OT). I'd still love to see the Packers come back in Rd3 and target a Zach Zinter, Coleman, Kiran type player. I actually think all three offer some versatility. Zinter is long and could play RT(it'd be less than idea, but I'm talking about as a backup RT only).
  25. Yeah...I guess it sounds old school, but unlike other sayings like "offense wins games, defense wins Championships," it's still true. You control the LOS with a really good OL and a really good DL, there's a floor to how bad you can be. You're going to be competitive if you can protect your QB and get after the passer/stop the run. I don't think they took Morgan over say...Guyton because he's more NFL ready. I don't think that's how they approach the draft. You may be right, maybe they think he's a near lock to start at OG(which was a huge hole) and he has potential as a starting OT. My guess would be they thought Morgan and Guyton had similar upside, but that Morgan had a higher floor and more certainty with his position versatility.
