  1. My wife likes the Xbox controller more than the PS3 one (I feel the opposite, personally). I don't think there's any sort of adapter to allow you to use an Xbox controller with the PS3, though. There could possibly be some sort of PC Xbox-like controller you could use, though (just speculation on my part).
  2. Yeah...I think they will ask for your "side" of the story. I would just note he waited 10 days to pay, and then three weeks to say he didn't receive it. I wouldn't do the refund just on principle. If they give the money back from your account, so be it. One negative feedback isn't going to kill you.
  3. Yeah, I've had that happen to me too when I've sold extra tickets. I just figure it's bound to happen sometimes. My one real experience doing business with a scalper outside the designated area was more of a trade. My wife and I had four loge level tickets, but weren't able to find two other people to come to the game. I tried to resell them to the usual suspects like I normally do, but they were only offering peanuts that day (it was slow because it was a Saturday night during Summerfest). The most they would do was like $25 for two tickets that had a face value of like $35 each. I ended up walking away, figuring I'd just give the two tickets away at the gate. I ended up trading the four loge tickets to a reseller guy for two club level tickets directly behind home plate, and he threw $20 on top. We had a fun time sitting in the club level for the first time ever.
  4. My dad shares season tickets with some guys, including some seats behind home plate, and you definitely get a decent discount off those face values.
  5. Usually I find that if you do find a scalper outside the "designated area", they are much more open to wheeling and dealing than the usual guys you see by Helfaer.
  6. What's the time limit someone has on disputing a transaction? 30 days?
  7. Senate to vote on scalping bill. MADISON, Wis. (AP) — A bill that would make it easier for the Milwaukee Brewers to prosecute unauthorized ticket scalpers is moving through the Legislature. Team officials say scalpers are using aggressive tactics to hawk tickets, which hurts their attempt to provide a fan-friendly experience. --- Interesting. To be honest, I haven't noticed that many scalpers outside the "designated resale area," which always seems to consist of the same three or four guys anyway.
  8. Cool, thanks for the tip on this. *shudder* I just ordered an ESPN product. I think the Insider Access is worth it, though.
  9. The Show comes out today. I'm debating picking it up...I get the game every year, but I'm not sure it's worth paying 60 bucks for what is probably only a slight upgrade over last year's game.
  10. I meant "MLB ready", despite not having played most of last year, and barely having any time in at AAA?
  11. Cain was injured most of last season. How was he possibly going to be ready to play Opening Day 2010?
  12. I'm guessing that if they don't get something worked out in the next few months, they will decide internly that there's no way they are keeping him after 2011.
  13. I said this before, but it all comes down to what kind of deal Prince is looking for. If he will "settle" for just a huge contract (like say, 6 years, $15-16 million per year, which could set him up for one more big payday), it could be do-able for the Brewers. If he's seeking some sort of insane, irresponsible, Teixeira type contract, the Brewers will have to say, "Sorry you don't want to stay with us. Good luck with your future endeavors."
  14. Yeah, sounds like the Lake Geneva one is lagging behind, but now they're going to have this one open on Opening Day. Pretty cool.
  15. The first link on your post is incorrect. Cool idea to give away tickets though. I just ordered a "Melvin" stache shirt. Always thought those were cool.
  16. Well, I'm not sure what your point is in inserting "empty tiers", but you are right that there are some bottom of the barrel teams below "the majority".
  17. Exactly. People on this site tend to get married to "their guys", and seem to be against anyone from outside the organization getting an opportunity, or even seeing them outplay their heralded Brewers system "up & comers." The outcry over Inman getting traded was a bit over the top for me. Looking at how he has done since then, I think the complaining was rather unwarranted.
  18. Yeah, I've been one of those who were critical of Anthony Witrado in the past, but it seems like he's stepped up his "game" as a writer in the past few months. Hopefully he continues this. I've always liked Haudricourt, personally, and continue to enjoy his work. I can also say that on the few occasions I've emailed Tom with a question, he has gotten back to me very promptly.
  19. I think a lot of times that last part of the commercial didn't air (they probably used a condensed version primarily). I had never seen that part with Hardy before, either.
  20. I think it's very possible they would have at least made the NLCS. The World Series isn't crazy to think about, either.
  21. I'd rather see that than see the franchise get criticized "for not being willing to pay the man."
  22. Attanasio won't be foolish with his money. I think whoever was talking about him probably looking at various financial scenarios was probably pretty accurate. If they offer him a huge contract and Boras turns them down (again), I would like to see them use the media to paint Fielder and Boras in a negative light. Players get off far too easily when they hurt the fans and ditch the teams that developed them. If both sides give it an honest go and it doesn't work out, fine...but if Boras isn't interested in negotiating, the team should use that to their advantage after Fielder leaves. It will help to minimize any PR hit they take.
  23. Basically it's: Tier 1a) Yankees Tier 1b) Red Sox Tier 2) LAA/LAD/CHC/CHW/DET/PHI/NYM Tier 3) Everyone else.
  24. Wow, I don't remember that one at all.
  25. I was going to say that I thought the Rays had a new stadium coming, but it looks like those plans have been scrapped for the time being. Would kind of be a shame to see them relocated after their recent relative success.
