  1. They're going to re-edit it so Jar-Jar is the one who kills Darth Maul. In episode IV? LOL...my bad. I thought you guys were talking about Episode I.
  2. They're going to re-edit it so Jar-Jar is the one who kills Darth Maul.
  3. When he took over the Yankees and bought them, the franchise was a mess. He oversaw basically two (arguably three) rebuilds of the Yankees that brought them multiple championships, etc. I hate what he did to the game in some respects, but he was unquestionably a successful owner.
  4. There should be a Bud Selig bobblehead, but I figure ignorant fans would end up littering Miller Park with decapitated Selig figurines.
  5. I've long argued that Dave Parker should be in, given some of the recent inductions like Andre Dawson. Ted Simmons and Steve Garvey should be in, in my opinion. I don't think the other players on that list should. Marvin Miller, LaRussa, Torre and Cox should all get in. I don't think Billy Martin's career was great enough to warrant induction. I would hate to see George Steinbrenner in, but he'll probably get it.
  6. No doubt there will be a Carlos Gomez "Gold Glove" bobblehead this year.
  7. So glad the Cardinals lost. They deserved some heartache for a change.
  8. Yup, this was a no brainer move. Glad to see it's official, though.
  9. That's awesome that he's going to be back in the Majors, in some capacity. Now get him a statue at Miller Park already...
  10. Prince's OPS this season was .819. While still certainly a very good player, that is a far cry from the numbers he put up the four seasons prior, averaging an OPS of .951. I think it's safe to say that going into his age 30 season next year, he's probably on the decline. Anyway, it would be impossible for the Brewers to trade for him, but it's a fun idea to discuss at least.
  11. I think it's unlikely. The Cuban government knows it would spark an international incident if they tried to initiate some sort of reprisal against a defecting baseball player. Their modus operandi is usually to "erase" the player from their history books. At least that's what I've heard in the past.
  12. Wow, that is hilarious.
  13. Wow, congrats.
  14. I really don't see Braun moving to 1B in the near future. He is much too athletic to be wasted at that position. I think he can handle RF just fine, and we have a glut of outfielders. A trade really should happen. Why can't we deal Aoki for a first baseman, for example?
  15. Yeah, Thursday nights used to be the big TV night in our household...now, not so much anymore. Very strange indeed.
  16. Thanks for the help, support. I went with the 6121 (a local shop in Whitewater had it in stock). Seems to be working great so far, and I'm noticing my internet is running a bit quicker now.
  17. He's had a chance to make the club every year. It's not the Brewers' fault he keeps getting hurt. That was my point.
  18. Hey guys. This morning I woke up to find that my cable internet was not working. This has been happening more and more frequently lately. I called Charter (our provider), and the helpful call center guy was able to resolve the issue over the phone. I asked why this had been happening to me lately. He said the problem is probably due to the fact that I have an older cable modem. We own our modem, which is a Motorola model, probably 4-5 years old. He said I have a "2.0" and should upgrade to a "3.0." I know nothing about this. Can you guys point me to a good model to look at? Not looking to spend a fortune but don't need the cheapest out there either. Thanks!
  19. Gamel had more than enough chances with the Brewers. It was time for him to go somewhere else.
  20. Being reported by the AP. He had one year left on his contract.
  21. I don't mind it, since the odds of finding someone better right now are probably low. Give him one more year to see what he does with a (hopefully) better performing overall pitching staff and suspension-free Ryan Braun.
  22. Gomez and Ramirez suspended today...McCann gets off scott free. Seems like a bit of injustice to me.
  23. I do think it's a little bit douchey to celebrate in an area the opposing team specifically requested them not to. The D-Backs shouldn't make a big deal out of it though...comes off as whiny. Just settle it on the field next year in typical baseball fashion.
  24. I think Yost's biggest flaw is that he often manages based on what he'd like to happen, rather than what should be expected to be the most likely outcome. He really believes in his players, which is admirable to a point, but it sometimes costs his team. This is particularly glaring with pitchers, where a guy is clearly gassed, but Yost always tended to leave them in for one batter too many, hoping the guy would be able to perform an escape artist trick.
