  1. Rick Kranitz, if the rotation gets off to a bad start.
  2. So why should the Brewers give up a pick for him, even if it's "only" a two year deal? Makes no sense to me and sounds like more Scott Boras driven "reporting" to me.
  3. I think people are being a bit unfair on Roenicke. Macha playing veterans too much? Sure. I'm not sure Roenicke is really guilty of the same.
  4. I agree with 'stache. I've had people tell me, "I checked out that site you sent me a link to, but I thought it was a dead page from three years ago." If nothing else, it could just be updated to a generic frontpage with a big direct link to the forum, or something.
  5. It's good the mystery of this situation has been dispelled. Thanks for posting that article.
  6. Looks like the predictions have really been tempered down for my area of southern Wisconsin. That is good as I have a ton of stuff to get done tomorrow and don't really feel like dealing with bad roads on top of it all.
  7. ie. Scott Boras told him to say that.
  8. Thanks for the recommendation. I ended up ordering the E3200. I'll try to let you guys know how it works out.
  9. Correct. He might warrant a minor league deal and that's about it at this point. I have to believe Indians fans are still pissed about the Sabathia trade.
  10. The Brewers aren't a team that needs to be giving up first round picks at all right now. If we were talking about re-signing Zack Greinke, fine. Lohse isn't a guy you give up a draft pick for.
  11. Yeah, Pettite and Posada would get absolutely no HoF talk if they weren't Yankees. Not sure how we got on this topic about Hart, but whatever.
  12. I was wondering when we were going to get one of these threads (of course, I was too lazy to start it myself). My predictions are going to be very similar to razzzorsharp's: Record: 80-82 Division: 3rd place (Reds, Cardinals) All-Stars: Ryan Braun, Jonathan Lucroy Disappointments: Fiers, Narveson, Estrada, Axford, Weeks. Surprises: Lucroy builds on his pre-injury 2012 and establishes himself as premier NL catcher. Wily Peralta establishes himself as a very solid #2 behind Gallardo and is a very outside ROY candidate. Michael Olmsted has a strong year and establishes himself as a setup man and potential closer option behind Axford, who will be decent but not regain his 2011 dominance. Ryan Braun has another MVP type year but loses to someone on a playoff team (maybe that's not really a surprise). World Series: Dodgers over Tigers.
  13. It's not like the Brewers should be doing Scott Boras any favors at this point anyway. Let some other team make his wallet even fatter while he laughs to the bank.
  14. We have the current one upstairs. It's a single story ranch type house, but with a finished basement. The router is in our office, which unfortunately is in the "back" of the house. I'm hoping a newer router might have a bit more "range" if possible.
  15. Here's a computer/tech related question: We moved last year, and since then our wifi router hasn't been cutting it anymore. Our new house is more spread out than our old one was, and the signal doesn't seem to get into our basement very well. Hence, I can't stream Netflix reliably on my basement PS3, etc. What's a good wifi router these days? I've had the same Linksys unit for about seven years now so I'm not familiar with what's current. We have high speed internet through Charter, if it matters.
  16. I don't know if it helps, but I've found Google Sheets (and the rest of the Google Docs) to be an excellent substitute for Excel.
  17. I'm not sure about getting player photos. When we were there a couple years ago, while a few of the really low level minor leaguers were somewhat accessible, but the big league guys weren't exactly waiting around to interact with fans. It's also tough to get autographs near the clubhouse unless you're a kid.
  18. The Brewers don't exactly need to rush at this point. It's a possibility that someone better than Overbay might become available as spring training winds on. No reason to make a move just to make a move right now.
  19. Really glad I have to help my parents move tomorrow. Ugh. Same thing happened to us last year. We moved out on January 12th and it was the first big snowfall of the season.
  20. The question is getting into the parking lot though, since I think you need tickets to get a parking pass. I could be wrong. But yeah, I'll probably wait until closer to Opening Day to actually buy tickets. The price people are asking right now for even Terrace Reserved are ridiculous.
  21. I really want/need to go to opening day this year, but wow, the aftermarket prices are expensive right now. Guess I'll have to suck it up and pay though.
  22. It seems like they are less cautious with hitters than pitchers, but that's maybe just my perception.
  23. Also, as a reminder again, if you can post here if you are planning on making it, it will help us to get a general head count.
