    At least they tried to mount a comeback. Kind of an embarrassment for the USA. I don't think you can completely blame Torre, though. Just didn't seem like the USA team was really firing on all cylinders at all, at least from the games I saw.

    All the rumors said they tried to shop Prince after the 2010 season and had no takers, so he changed gears and acquired better starting pitching. Shouldn't a good GM change gears based on the marker?

    I remember last year, St. Patrick's Day was basically a gorgeous sunny day out. This year it's going to be cold and dreary. Quite the difference.

    Sounds like a very tough situation. I wonder if it's at least time for a "come to Jesus" type meeting with the thick skulled daycare provider. Then maybe time to find a really good family law attorney.

    I don't see this as the team writing off Logan. Teams need a fourth outfielder, and he could slide into right field if Aoki regresses, for example.

    The way I see it, Gomez is the Ozzie Smith of center field. He doesn't hit that great, but it doesn't matter. You're paying him for his glove and his speed.

    That's kind of a typical baseball brawl these days. The instances where a guy like Johnny Cueto kicks a guy in the face are pretty rare.

    Van Halen isn't exactly the band they once were by most accounts, so I wouldn't be too excited necessarily even of they do show.

    It seems weird that the Brewers haven't been featured at all yet on TV this spring. They haven't had one game on MLB Network, etc. Anyone know if there are any upcoming broadcasts they will be on? I noticed some other teams have tons of games on their local networks...seems like the Brewers and FS-Wisconsin are missing the boat here.

    Only guy to bring an NBA championship to Milwaukee either, though.

    It would probably get fans down to the Bradley Center, which is why I could see Kohl telling Hammond to do it.

    The good news is that even if he does leave, the Brewers seem to have a knack for finding at least good broadcasters for both their radio and TV teams.

    Yeah, Sedona is very cool and well worth the relatively short drive from the Phoenix area. Beautiful views. I think people that think there isn't enough to do around Phoenix compared to Florida are pretty nuts. I get the appeal of going to the beaches, but still...there is plenty to see and do in Arizona.

    That's actually a great point. Personally, the wife and I loved our trip to Arizona three years ago (neither of us had been there before). Looking forward to hopefully going back in a couple years. The Brewers don't need to move to Florida, but they do need to get out of Maryvale. Unfortunately, it sounds like that won't be happening anytime soon.

    I personally believe in the theory of: juiced hitters were hitting a juiced ball thrown by juiced pitchers, sometimes in newer "juiced" stadiums.

    We really don't need any more snow at this point. There has to be some warmer weather on the way soon, right?

    Hey guys. The new router is working great thus far. Thanks to xixxisxis for the recommendation. I was able to actually download a system update on my downstairs PS3 and stream some Netflix yesterday (two things I couldn't do because of limited signal from the old router).

    I'm in the camp that doesn't care for 1600 Penn at all...watched the first two episodes and both the wife and I decided it wasn't worth watching any further. I wouldn't be surprised to see Community again in the fall. I think it's picked up again the last couple episodes, personally. As far as the Office, I actually think this season has been pretty good overall. A shame to see it end, but it's definitely time. Anyone know if the Dwight spinoff is still happening?

    No, we just sort of did round table introductions. Thanks again to everyone who came. It was fun, and the Friday's staff was great, providing us with a private room in an otherwise packed restaurant on a Saturday night. There was some talk about trying to do another event in the middle of the season. I would be all up for it, whether it's going to a game or just getting together somewhere. I think someone else can step up and handle making arrangements though.

    Vlad might be worth a minor league deal at this point, if nothing else.
