  1. Yes, Mears pitches like HOF Mariano Rivera tonight.
  2. The word is a combination of the words "brew" and "master" of all.
  3. Are you really a brewer fan?????
  4. I know and he is a great veteran dude in the clubhouse.
  5. Probably when we were just in Colorado.
  6. Absolutely especially if he just found out he was tipping his pitches by Brewers staff.
  7. Playing for a job it looks like.
  8. Frelick an animal on that play.
  9. Wiemer I could see but not St, Junis.
  10. I see per medial evaluation because he hasn't pitched in 9 days.
  11. The St. Louis Cardinals are acquiring Chicago White Sox right-hander Erick Fedde and outfielder Tommy Pham in a three-team deal that includes Tommy Edman going to the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Dodgers are also getting right-hander Michael Kopech from the White Sox and minor league right-hander Oliver Gonzalez from the Cardinals in the deal. The White Sox get infielder/outfielder Miguel Vargas and prospects Jeral Perez and Alexander Albertus and a player to be named or cash considerations from the Dodgers. Fedde, 31, is 7-4 with a 3.11 ERA with the White Sox, his first in Chicago. He signed a two-year deal worth $15 million with the White Sox in the offseason after playing one year in Korea. Fedde is 28-37 with a 4.92 ERA in 123 career games (109 starts) with the Washington Nationals (2017-22) and ChiSox. Pham, 36, who began his major league career in St. Louis, is batting .266 with five home runs and 33 runs in 70 games this season. He's a career .259 hitter. Edman, 29, has yet to appear in a game this season after undergoing right wrist surgery last October. In 596 career games, all with the Cardinals over the past five seasons, Edman is a .265 hitter with 53 home runs and 222 RBIs. He won a National League Gold Glove Award at second base in 2021. Kopech, 28, is 2-8 with a 4.74 ERA with nine saves in 43 relief appearances this season. He's 17-33 with a 4.38 ERA in 146 career games (60 starts), all with the White Sox. Vargas, 24, is batting .239 with three HRs and nine RBIs in 30 games this season. Gonzalez, 17, was an international signing by the Cardinals earlier this year out of Panama. In the Dominican Summer League, he is 2-0 with a 4.22 ERA in 21 1/3 innings. Perez, 19, rated the Dodgers' No. 17 prospect by MLB Pipeline, hit .264 with 10 home runs and 42 RBIs in 75 games this season at Class-A Rancho Cucamonga. Albertus, 19, rated the Dodgers' No. 23 prospect by MLB Pipeline, hit a combined .298 with three home runs and 42 RBIs in 51 games this season at Rancho Cucamonga and rookie ball in the Arizona Complex League. --Field Level Media.
  12. I personally think William Contreras and Brice Turang need more rest or time off. Brewers have played 105 games thus far and Contreras has appeared in 101, Turang has appeared in 101 games also. I'm sure I will get grief from some but the body, even in it's mid 20's cannot operate at a high level playing that much, that is also why I think some players would love to take "the juice" if they could get away with it, because there is no slowing you down then, plus strength increases playing every day.
  13. I think you replied to the wrong person. Because my point was you can't make a judgment by a single game. 3 weeks ago Turang was batting .290 when we played the Dodgers but he has been downhill ever since.
  14. It is 6 for 36 and it does make a difference. Because its called lying or manipulating. That's like saying Babe Ruth only had 487 career home runs if you take away his 4 best years. Half this site are not even baseball fans anymore, just here to cause trouble.
  15. OPS stands for "on-base plus slugging." The slugging 1/2 of the equation is to drive in runs and Turang does not have the power to do that. JMHO.
  16. Good call TURBO, Turang 2-4 and was player of the game with great D. The knuckleheads that were posting when the lineup first came out calling for Murphy's head because Turang was leading off have to be using the Cubs game plan.
  17. Why would you want a player with power to lead off? Babe Ruth (left) ranks first all-time in AL-NL history with a career 1.164 OPS, Ted Williams is second with a 1.116 lifetime OPS. While longtime Yankees teammate Lou Gehrig is third at 1.079 OPS. None of them were leadoff hitters.
  18. You will be waiting a long time then because Brewers always just try to win the division and then pray for a hot streak in the playoffs. 19. RHP Nick Mears has officially been acquired from Colorado in exchange for RHP Bradley Blalock and RHP Yujanyer Herrera.
  20. The Brewers need to trade for a starting pitcher to aid their rotation in a postseason run. One Major League Baseball insider mentioned teams have been calling for an outfielder that could be used to acquire a much-needed arm. "One name that has come up in trade talks involving the Milwaukee Brewers is outfielder Garrett Mitchell, sources say," FanSided's Robert Murray wrote Friday afternoon. "It’s unclear how willing the Brewers are to move the young left-handed hitter, especially after Christian Yelich was placed on the injured list with a back injury. But one rival executive in contact with Milwaukee viewed Mitchell as a potential trade piece to acquire a starting pitcher." Mitchell is hitting .227 with four extra-base hits including one home run, four RBIs and a .697 OPS (95 OPS+) in 15 games this season. The 25-year-old on his own likely wouldn't yield the Brewers a high-quality starting pitcher, and if moved at all would probably be included in a package with low-level prospects -- or in a mix of other outfielders rumored to also be in trade conversations. Although it's unclear if Milwaukee is fielding teams interest in the left-handed bat with actual consideration of moving him, it wouldn't be a shock if he is shipped out in a trade for a starting pitcher.
  21. "Brewers GM Matt Arnold met with a group of reporters today to discuss the trade deadline and other matters," MLB.com's Adam McCalvy reported Friday afternoon. "One news item from the session: All-Star closer Devin Williams is expected back in “the next few days.” He must clear one more rehab outing first." Williams has a .000 ERA with a six-to-two strikeout-to-walk ratio, .000 batting average against and a 0.67 WHIP in three innings pitched across three games between the High-A Wisconsin Timber Rattlers and Triple-A Nashville Sounds in his rehab stints.
  22. Brewers Reportedly Receiving Calls For Slugger Garrett Mitchell, Trade Could Be Imminent.
