  1. There's some pretty good shots in here. "I can turn a $4 million profit into a $2 million loss and get every national accounting firm to agree with me." Smartmoney.com Ouch!
  2. Crede is also a free agent after the 08 season, if the Brewers do make a move for him, I sure wouldn't give much right now.
  3. Rats, I just accidentally posted an Insider piece, sorry, I didn't catch that. Oh well, I'll share my favorite part, from a Cubs fan - "As a Cub fan, I am extatic about the Reds hiring Baker. May he manage there forever." If he doesn't manage there forever, may he manage in St. Louis, Houston, or Milwaukee. And if he manages in Milwaukee, may Ned Yost manage one of the other two teams.
  4. Our mail carrier maced our dog today. She obviously has a phobia, she reacted very quickly, and got him three times before I could get to him. He slipped his leash and ran toward her, but he had stopped and was standing there barking. I understand her reaction to protect herself, but that was definitely overkill. Now, I'm waiting to see how he reacts to strangers, thanks, Panicky Chick.
  5. My grandfather may have been the loudest eater ever, I loved the man dearly, but he could make a piece of celery sound like a marching band.
  6. Hardball Times rips into Yost. BTW, I wonder if the poster he refers to is a bf.netter? Hardball Times This guy really goes after Ned, there's some powerful criticism in here. I see endaround had already posted that link, if you haven't read the story, you should, no matter which side of the Yost debate you're on, there's plenty to talk about in that piece.
  7. I think I hate the Dallas Cowboys.
  8. Dear Mr Torre- Milwaukee has missed you since your days with the Braves, please return to manage the Brewers in 2008. Sincerely, All of Us
  9. Crazy Night at the Nuke Plant...isn't that a tune by the Dead Milkmen?
  10. Geoff was my kids' first favorite Brewer. He autographed a ball for them several years ago, and was very courteous to all of us. Geoff always played hard, and did the best he could to help his teams win, yes, he had some limitations, but who doesn't?
  11. Perhaps if we had done a countdown to 95 wins....
  12. http://i202.photobucket.com/albums/aa319/toddecopp/paulcoffman.jpg You can't do this without Paul Coffman.
  13. I think it's time for a change. I like Ned, but he drives me nuts sometimes, I think he'll be one of those guys who winds up looking like a genius later in life, as Joe Torre did, after being fired by the Mets, Braves and Cardinals. Ned lost me over the last two months.
  14. The Brewers' bullpen, and it will for about six months now.
  15. The Brewers' young talent. It didn't happen this time, but it will.

  17. David Weathers is bugging me, first Quevedo, and now this.
  18. I think the Cubs will get to 85 as well, I think the best bet for the Brewers is probably tying them and having the playoff.

  20. I toss and turn a lot too, so I had worried about all of that before my test, and with all that stuff on, knowing someone was monitoring me, I thought I'd never be able to sleep. It had the opposite affect on me, I laid still and dozed off quickly, I had the best night's sleep I'd had in months. Go figure.
  21. I had the test, getting all wired up is really a weird experience. They took my picture with all that stuff taped on, my kids love it. I have it, but just barely, I'm not being treated at this point. You'll feel much better once you begin treatment, my wife's boss absolutely could not believe the difference, and the change is almost immediate.
  22. http://i202.photobucket.com/albums/aa319/toddecopp/sevenball.jpg http://i202.photobucket.com/albums/aa319/toddecopp/th_elway.jpg http://i202.photobucket.com/albums/aa319/toddecopp/th_ernie7.jpg
  23. The Brewers have done just fine against big-name pitchers in recent weeks, in fact, they've done just fine against almost all pitchers in recent weeks. This will be about how our own guys pitch, if our starters don't get blown off the mound, we will have a chance to win almost every day, no matter who's facing us. Things seem to be settling in for the Brewers right now, and I agree with the writer when he says the Cubs shouldn't be playing games with their rotation right now. Who's famous isn't nearly as important as who's hot right now, the minute you beat a stud, some kid you've never heard of will kick your butt. Guess all you want, Mr Sportswriter, in September, it's only about today.
  24. Ever met my ex-wife?
