  1. I think Garrett Mitchell can make up for much of the loss of Adames . Mitchell is going to have a big season and replacing the Adames thing I believe is already in place in house with Durbin in the mix.
  2. He looks like he figured his stuff out from his Japan reels. He has an insane amount of pitches. 6 pitches with at least 3 variants to boot. He could be a surprise winner for the Crew .
  3. Or could it be the Brewers think they have enough on the roster right now and want to see the people they have been developing now that many of them are ready for big league ball. 2025 they added Caleb Durbin and I think he will be a fan favorite instantly. I believe Ortiz, Turang and Chourio will all outclas their 2024 numbers and I think Garrett Mitchell is going to step into Stardom of his own in 2025. If Yelich is truly repaired and his back does not become an issue through the season he could win another MVP this season. The players out there to get are not better than the people currently on this roster. Names like Oliver Dunn and Tyler Black are forgotten after odd 2024 campaigns yet both players could have exceptional 2025 seasons helping mend the gap left without Willy and his big time bat. The Brewers seem good to me . While everyone else is screaming for the Brewers to buy one of these left over free agent pieces I simply think they should stick with the people they have who have way more upside and investment by Management than anyone of the group can offer this team . If the season gets underway and it seems the plan is lacking and there becomes a need for more of one thing or another then and only then would I wish for Arnold to go shopping for a piece. Otherwise I am very much interested in seeing the Brewers as they are and feel this team is more talented than most believe. Blake Perkins, Garrett Mitchell, Jackson Chourio, Sal Frielck, Caleb Durbin and Joey Ortiz are all extremely good baseball players who are just stepping into who they can be . Chourio alone could hit 40 home runs and Mitchell is not beyond that kind of production with a clean bill of health. The Pitching seems shaky with Woodruff not being an actual option for the season and Gasser is a no help for most of 2025. But Myers looks ready for years of success as a rotational gem, I expect him to become an even better pro in 2025. Nasty Nestor is uber talented and better than anyone who pitched here in 2024. Freddy is playing for a mega contract in the coming seasons so I also expect a much better 2025 than his 24' Freddy could contend for a Cy Young with a bit of a rebound season this year. The other starter will be one of the young stars coming up in 2025 and given there are more than one pitcher ready for big league work the last rotational spot should be one of the funnest on the roster this season . Civale is there. He will take up innings every 5 days. And the bullpen has so many great pieces that it will be hard to keep all the talent they have on the roster as other bullpen needy teams start to make offers to get help for their franchises. Fear nothing . this team is good and I do not think it needs to shop around to be the Central division champion in 2025.
  4. As long as they have Chris Hook and the coaches from Timberattlers through Nashville. They should continue to make winners out of losers. Tobias Myers is the best example of this ever. Every team who he played for saw him holding bigtime potential only each one of those teams tried to change what made his stuff work. The Brewers told him the opposite. They said "Lean into your weird kid" and what came out was a guy who sometimes falls over for no reason but who when in tilt can get batters swinging away like grade schoolers. The Brewers find those things these pitchers used to make themselves become high end prospects and gets the most out of those idiosyncrasies. I do not believe Tobias Myers is the pitcher he is today without the Brewers. They developed a throw away pitcher into a legitimate starter in no time simply by encouraging and explaining the reasons Myers stuff worked . Best pitching system in baseball.
  5. Sounds like he tested his arm and it was underwhelming. I was very sceptical of Woody working out after this one. It may all be too much and his arm has now had one to many fixes. I was hopeful there for a minute but always felt this was going to be a sad ending. His body failed him and that is a huge bummer given that guy was sure fun to watch pitch. I have no idea how he can come back from those surgery's all seemingly bunched into a short timeframe. I still like the rotation. Myers with another year to work should start sitting down hitters at much higher rates. People are already predicting his demise but I liked what i saw from him and see him as an ascending pitcher who defies all the naysayers. Nester Cortaz is a super talented pitcher with all the ability to lead this group deep into the playoffs with great success. He is not a runner up prize in that trade. He will help this team win a lot of game this season. DL Hall could have a breakout season worthy of starting work as easy as he could not . However without a doubt has all the tools to be great if he puts it all together. Ashby sure has the stuff to start if he could put it together he could be one of the best on the earth . God knows if that will ever happen but I still see an elite starting pitcher in him. If he will ever live up to what he has no one will know until it happens. The best comes from the young guns moving up through Farms. I like what's coming and think the young pitching group can find that 5th starter and even give the Brewers another Ace pitching option that should buffer the 2026 losses that are coming to the Starting rotation. I think it is time we see what Chad Patrick is a pretty good starting pitcher who can be at least as good as Colin Rea if not a solid improvement to Colin Rea. I think Patrick is going to be a pretty good pitcher with a nice mix of pitches that will play at the MLB level and ease the rotational fears looking well into the future. So many mild reviews coming out from various outlets and podcasters make him seem like he is a sure failure. One could get fooled into assuming he is not going to be a good player here if you took reviewers of baseballs word for it on Patrick. Chad Patrick is a good pitcher who is going to surprise a lot of Brewers fans who do not know who he is yet. I think he has a solid 2025 for this franchise and am excited to see him in the rotation. Logan Henderson is more than a 2 pitch pitcher despite what you read in Reviewland USA. His two best pitches are his speed and his change but he uses what he is good at pretty well and should be able to throw in a sweeper to the mix when asked to expand his toolbox. I am still not sold on Henderson but I am also looking forward to seeing him work through 2025. The dream here is Jacob Misiorowski picks up Spring Training with a 8% walk rate max and sits down 2 out of every 3 batters through the spring and forces the Brewers hand in putting him up against MLB batters at the start of the season. I want to see him pitch as bad as the rest of us. I also think whatever the Brewers have planned for him as a starter should be played completely out before they move him into bullpen work because he is special . If they can make him a starting pitcher he could be one of the greats of the game instantly. Time will tell but I feel AAA will be where Mis plays most of 2025. That is unless he comes into the season with dynamite in his pants . Outside that of course Craig Yoho coming into the Bullpen this season is exciting news. A fun pitcher who is going to waste batters . Brandon Woodruff may be done for but the Pitching situation here is solid . Mr Hook is a master of his craft and I like the tools they gave him to work with for many years into the future.
  6. I believe the Brewers are doing the right thing now and it's so abnormal in baseball in 2025 that no one can even believe they are doing it. The Brewers are sold on the Brewers. They made moves all last year and it was necessary to manage the roster of 2024 . This is 2025 and because of the buffer given by stop gap players who kept some of the future talent in the A-AAA spectrum for one more season. This bought the Brewers the luxury of not having to shop around in 2025 and still plan to win a lot of games. Nestor Cortes makes this team really good and I am fine if that is where the trades stop this season. The Brewers have worked hard to build a team to compete with the highest talent in baseball over a long period of time and the time for those players to be pros is now. I am sick of developing players for other franchises and I also really like the guys we have and am not so apt to deal them away for Band-Aids that do not fix problems . I think while modern(forever) baseball has been caught up in the grind of constantly trading players one place or another I think the Brewers have chosen another path. A path that has not been traveled in baseball in a very long time. I believe the Brewers think they have all the players they need in their system already and can compete right now with the guys they already field. I do not think trading any of these developmental players the Brewers have worked so hard to develop into young Stars makes any sense and sticking with who they have seems like the best move here . I think the Brewers are about to say they are good enough and see what they built in action before they jump to move these prospects out of the system. I think they actually developed a system so good that they are starting to become self reliant and will be trading less and less as the team moves into this moment in its franchise history. Each year will bring the typical movement of players nearing the contracts end and those players will usually be traded before value is lost. However for the most part the Brewers have grown enough talent to compete with anyone and living off the talent they build is how winning is done when you are small market like us. I like the thinking . It's not typical baseball and that in itself is a breath of fresh air. Heck I may be wrong all over and they will end up trading everyone but so far I am in agreement with minimal movement this offseason. This team is perfect and has all the tools to win championships .
  7. I think removing framing is like removing shoes from the game. I get it really puts catchers gloves in harm's way and bats contact catchers more while framing than without it but framing is so much part of the art of baseball that losing it seems to cheapen things. I remember the stone catcher era. It was boring . Framing was a great combat to the bad call or lack of consistency by umps. I would trade it for a strike challenge system in a heartbeat but I see both side of the framing thing.
  8. Eric Haas is a beast. I feel so much better with him as #2 this year than I ever felt with Sanchez. The skepticism about Haas being able to keep up his hot hitting ways seem stupid to me. I would even look at him at 1B because his bat is so good. While past things may have been one way it seems these players actually take the time to get better over time. Imagine that? Nope Haas is a weapon. He has found a new pop to his swing and he can hit the ball anywhere. I am excited to see what he can do with a full seasons work and wish he was the #2 in 2024 so badly. Haas was one of the best hitters on the team last year who was only held back by roster position. Amazes me he cleared waivers. He gets overlooked while dominating with a bat in his hands. I cannot wait to see him with a bigger role.
  9. Why make articles like this? If a Frog hops a log a Beagle barks at the wind. That is what I hear when I listen to people talk about players possibly regressing Especially when that player has shown nothing but big league talent and has gotten better and better every time they pitch like MeGill has. So this article as with the Frog and Beagle is Meaningless and a great way of perpetuating Loser mentialities. We need to stop talking about the possibility that thing will go bad at any given moment. Winners do not speak like this! Why not frame the MeGill argument like it is . MeGills numbers put him at the top of the MLB as a closer if he continues to develop his tools or even simply holds par. MeGill says he is adding a sweeper for 2025 to make him a 3 pitch closer. If his Sweeper moves like the Curve moves ... Damn. Even if his sweeper is misgiven or a falsehood his already impressive skill set showed he is more than capable of being a top end closer. We should all shift away from the doom reporting we have gotten used to because there is no reason not to stay positive about the players on this roster and their chances for great success moving forwards. MeGill was fantastic in 2024 and in 2023. There is no reason to believe there will be any room for decline. MeGill like most of the rest of the of this roster is super good. We all saw it last season when he was there vs when he was not with his injures that kept him at rest a few times through 2024. MeGill is one of our Stars and we should treat him like that. We should stop wondering when the floor is going to fall out from underneath us across the board because I can tell you without a doubt this Brewers team is not built for losers. I think this Brewers team is built for long term success at levels it may never have dreamed of before . I do not see the floor falling out on this franchise so reporting these things before there is any reason to smear a player or the team is just dumb. I pledge we report news and not negative conjecture until one of these players actually gives us good reason to report on his failings. We have so much good to look forward to now that talking about what can go wrong seems wrong. I say we look at the real winners of the MLB and copy how those fans watch their teams. They do not always look to the moments of failure . Winners talk about the good things they have and how much better those things can be right up and until there are bad things that happen in real life to players that need reporting. Projecting failure onto a player or franchises before that type of negativity actually happens is how stigmas and curses are created that hold teams back! So we the fans need to unlearn how we see this team if we ever want to win anything real. We have more to be excited about than we do to be worried about. So let us come together, stay positive and usher in a championship for the first time in our lives. We need to improve as much as the Brewers do to make this happen as a fanbase. We have been jaded and it is hard to overlook past failings but we have come so far from where we have been that not enjoying this right now would be a crime against all of us and the Brewers. I am sick of losing guys! I vote we talk about this team like we have a winner on our hands because WE DO. What do you say? Can you get on board with BELIEVING IN THIS CREW? I am asking all of you to BUY IN! Write about the actual possibility this team has what it takes to make it with OUR guys. Players like MeGill are why that is so there is no need to project him falling back. MeGill as many of the young players on this roster are now established and proven Stars in their own right. So help me and the Brewers usher in something none of us know anything about when it comes to baseball..WINNING THE WHOLE DAMN THING! Winners do not talk and focus on the possibility of failure. That much I know and I am so done with failing.
  10. Simply put . NO! Jackson Chourio has no problem. I urge all Brewers fans to not do this with Chourio or anyone on this roster. From Blake Perkins to Jackson Chourio the one thing we do not need to do here is micro manage these young Stars. Jackson Chourio is the best young player in Brewers history. No one has had more talented than Chourio in Milwaukee since Hank Aaron was a young pup. The time to question the players we have is not now! This roster is special and there is little need to question why it works . The reasons it works is because the Brewers have put together a large complimentary group of players who help each other be better and they as a whole make for a team we can sit back and simply enjoy now. We for the first time ever have a Phillies,Padres type of roster. A roster that is just so good it is not in fear of coming apart like others of our past. Without extreme injury influence this team should be able to maintain winning no matter what is thrown its way during a season. . This team seems build to win and now we the fan get to enjoy baseball for the first time in our lives instead of constantly trying to figure out what it will take to win with whatever group is pieced together one year to another. We will win with the guys we have and the Stars that shine here are bright enough not to deep dive into the things we wish they would do better! I think after decades of micromanagement and questioning the process we have EARNED a right to sit back and watch OUR guys win baseball games. We are set up for a Pennit and I think ideas like this article need to die! Jackson Chourio is lacking at nothing and wee need on sit back, take a sip or take a toak and flat out enjoy this ride! Very few of the current Roster are lacking in fact. Enjoy this and leave the skepticism to the rest of the MLB. WE have all paid our dues and FINALLY we have an honest to God contender on our hands ! Best not to question it!
  11. What else is new? The rest of the MLB talks about the Brewers like a joke and this is nothing new. The day the MLB reporter speaks of the Brewers positively will be the day the asteroid hits the earth and we all become extinct. I stopped listening to these things MLB reporting puts out a long long time ago. The reporting on MLB baseball is a filthy hole for false info. If the Media who reports on the Brewers got 50% of the things they say right the Brewers would have already traded off Yelich, Adames, Contreras and every pitching Star they have ever had. The MLB hates the Brewers because they are not like them. The Brewers operate outside the norms of baseball and they succeed without subscribing to the modern whims of baseball and for that they are reported on in a very flawed way. The gatekeepers of baseball media are the jerks who have kept Pete Rose out of the Hall of Fame. They are why baseball is hated today. So I have very little time for their opinions. Hell it took me all season to read this site without being hostile. I simply blame MLB media for the fall of MLB baseball. The only reason for its resurgence in popularity comes from one pitcher who is not even allowed to pitch in this league and the Fans ignoring those media voices completely and enjoying the game without them.
  12. I have never gone into a season like this one. I do not believe the Brewers need to add anything to be great in 2025. I think the 2025 season will prove that the Brewers homegrown are more than talented enough to carry this team through and that constantly shopping for the free agent or trade fodder to help the team do this or that is pointless and harmful for this team. The Brewers are STACKED with talent from the Bigs through low A . The bats they need are already rostered and trading anyone off this list of men seems defeatist. I do not think this Brewers team needs a thing to be champions. They have the best prospect list in team history and trading those guys off for short term returns just is not where this team is headed. I think stick, stay and make it play. I believe will contend for a LOT more than just another Central Division. The Cubs will challenge this season but it is still our division to lose. What happened in 2024 was unlike any playoff loss I have ever been apart of fo the Crew. Every other loss we took over the years was a return the to drawing board endings. 2024 was NOT that. After 2024 all I feel is that there is unfinished business and this team should have an edge like it has never started a season with before. The team did not lose in the playoffs because we were outmatched. The loss was a player Vs player moment that we lost yet anyone who watched that game saw who should have won that series and it was NOT the Mets! We will be contending in 2025 but what we will be contending for goes way beyond another division.
  13. Does anyone out there know the new format that MLB.tv is using to follow AAA and AA franchise games this year? They say they will be carrying 100% of Sounds games and all Biloxi home games on MLB Tv this season so we should be able to get more actual video of the prospects we want to see come up this season like never before . However when I look into how all this is supposed to work under the new TV deal it looks like the Brewers are fighting to not have those games publicized . So if anyone knows the best way to watch AAA ball and below with MLB tv let me know please.
  14. I am so much higher on Blake Perkins than everyone else. I still believe Perkins is going to become a better offensive player and his defensive outfield play is the best in the entire league. I agree with you 100% .
  15. Agreed. Myers was great at getting ahead of the count on most AB's.
  16. There is no world where trading Hoskins is real or even optional. I do not see how any team out there would do the Brewers this favor. No team needs a Hoskins . Alonzo cannot even find a contract and he is miles better than Hoskins. Right now 1st base if the Running back of baseball it seems and the position is so undervalued. Somehow we went from 3rd and 1st being power hitters for a team to Shortstops and 2nd base being the position of stat hitters. I think Short leads all baseball in WAR. Is Hoskins worth 22 million for 2025? Yes . He is and his 2024 season numbers have 0 to do with anything. The chances of Hoskins having a stand up season this year are very high. Just like with Willy last season we are looking at a player who must play his best to garner another big contract after 2025. So I expect Rhys will have a big season this year and with the loss of Adames the Brewers cannot afford to screw around and hope they find 55ish home runs without Hoskins and Adames in the order. Hoskins ability to hit when the game is most on the line is worth keeping him on itself. I hate that the Brewers did not get the Hoskins they really wanted to get when they signed him but they did get a leader who has a lot of Baseball in his head. What he can teach the Turang, Sal and Chourio's of this roster is worth having him around as well. Experienced stars develop inexperience and Rhys is that all day. No way there is a team out there dumb enough to just bail out the Brewers on Rhys money just to help the Brewers which is the only reason anyone would ever think about a Hoskins trade. I just do not believe anyone is serious about this in truth. Also this Mets Rumor would be EVIL. No player hated that franchise more than Hoskins and trading him to that place would be a jerk move. At this point he is our guy and his 2025 should look at least better than his 2024. I believe Hoskins is poised for a big 2025. That alone is worth the money it costs to keep him. Back when there was doubt about the TV deal and money was no longer a sure thing this unloading of Hoskins was worth the conversation. Now though with the new TV deal signed and money is not so hard to come by this is not a contract that is hurting the Crew and it should not be a conversation had by anyone until the deadline at least. Hoskins helps this team and we need him. It is that simple.
  17. Tempering expectations may be in order here . Made is a very neat idea. But he has never really faced anything remotely like MLB pitching yet. His numbers are gaudy and bloated and not even close to definable or real yet. The kid is 17 turning 18. I will get a bit more excited when he moves from A to AA. Until then he is just a funny name.
  18. The other power bat is Garrett Mitchell. They need to bring nothing they need to do nothing to be great and should just roll with the boys . This team is fantastic and its not in need of the magic out there batter. It has all it needs .
  19. I will see you down there this year perhaps. It will be my first spring training live in a decade. I am pumped.
  20. I think anyone who is not hates baseball ! Chourio act 2 is simply must see TV. What he is going to become is an exciting prospect for sure. I think we have a Griffey Jr on our hands..
  21. I have not yet stopped believing in this Brewers team. In past playoff exits the Brewers looked bad. Most of them for that matter. The Brewers always looked like a bad team in the playoffs who simply did not belong with the better teams. That being said that is not how I feel about that loss this past year and i simply cannot shake the idea that the Brewers have unfinished business which will be taken care of this coming season and beyond. The 2024 season ended with a thud that hit me in my heart like few Brewers losses. This was not the typical loss for us. We should have won that baseball game. It was not Yelich and Adames or even Contreras leading that charge to win that series either. No the guys who showed they could play with the big boys were named Brice Turang, Garrett Mitchell, Sal Freilck and Jackson Chourio and they look more than at home against big time competition with all the pressure of the world on them. The future is brighter now than it has been in my life and I have been here for a bit now. Long enough to know when to get ready for something special . This team is deep. So deep. The talent they carry right now at so many spots including pitcher should have the Brewers fan more than ready for this season to come and the team should be at the highest levels for a long time into the future. I am so ready for this damn thing. I was not ready for the end last season and the business is unfinished for the first time ever that I can think of.
  22. I checked out of the NFL season the second Alonzo hit that pitch. I have thought about nothing but 2025 and how to make the Mets pay for that moment. Make the NL pay . Unfinished business!
  23. Garrett Mitchell is going to take the bull by the horns now. He is going to have one hell of a season and I would bet on him now. He seems poised for great things. I think he could be the answer for any of Adames missing offense. Garrett Mitchell is about to make himself known to baseball. MLB.coms 8th best Center in baseball.
  24. Nope he went back to Detroit and that is how you fleese the Dodgers I guess? The last thing this team needs is more pitching right now. I like our chances with these men. Change nothing.
