  2. Mort Walker - Creater of Beetle Bailey and founder of the Cartoon Hall of Fame and Museum
  3. Nathan is my ticket rep. He is very service oriented and I have no doubt he will call you as soon as Yost is fired (if he's fired).
  4. Oh..sorry hawing...I now see that you posted that previously. Duh!
  5. Other advise: -If they ask if you have a trade-in, say no (even if you do). Then negotiate to the price you want. After that, tell them you have a trade in. -If you are buying new, find out what the dealer paid for the car (there are several web sites that can give you this information) and negotiate from there. It helps if you actually come into the dealer with a folder of "homework". Let the dealer know that you are prepared. Although, he/she will probably tell you that the cost numbers are wrong..so if you can get the numbers from 2 or 3 sites, that's helpful. -Ditto jwill535's advise regarding walking away. You always have to walk away from a dealer at least once.
  6. There is a lot of talk here of returning playoff tickets for a refund. Has anyone actually received their playoff tickets?? I have not.
  7. Oooohhhh....He's American! Well, that narrows it down.
  8. What makes you so sure that you can't get 150K on a Hyundai? I think the way cars are made now, it's not impossible to get that kind of milage on just about any make of car. The quality of Hyundai's made over the last 5 years or so has improved greatly By the way RyDogg. Boucher in Waukesha is where my wife and I purchased our cars. Other than than the badgering about the milage maitnance intervals that I mentioned, they are pretty good. Actually they go a little overboard sometimes. Whenever we get calls afterwards asking about the service. While I appreciate the service effort, it can get a little annoying.
  9. I have a 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe and my wife has a 2004 Hyundai Sonata that we both purchased new. We have not had any issues with either of our cars. I have about 69K miles on mine, she has about 55k on hers. Consumer Reports really likes Hyundai's, especially the Santa Fe. I also don't treat cars very well. I drive a lot in rush hour traffic and I'm somewhat of an aggresive driver...but like I said, no problems so far. I guess my only issues with the cars is how much the dealers really push for you to get the 15K, 30K, 60K, etc scheduled maintenance at about $500-$600 a pop. My wife and I have not done any of these....just the normal oil changes.

  12. Sounds like the deal he already mentioned on Midwest is better than any of these. I know at one point someone told me about some really good last minute air fare site, but I can't remember it now. I'll see if I can track it down.
  13. What took you so long?
  14. Wow, did they really do this? I didn't see Baseball tonight last night. Maybe they should be directed to the in-game thread from last night. Pretty much every poster on that thread was questioning Ned's moves as they happened, saying things like "Oh..this isn't going to turn out good." And they were right! There was much more foresight in that thread than hindsight. Heck even the Houston announcers were questioning Ned's decisions...especially his decision not to use Cordero. The Cub fans have started a thread praising Ned and his stupid moves. Hello Steve and John, it's not just Brewer fans, it's the whole baseball world that is questioning Ned's managing skills.
  15. Yost's press conferences at the end of the game drive me nuts. All the reporters are afraid to upset him and ask anything that would possibly question any of his decisions. The closest anyone came last night was someone asking "Is Braun ok?" Ned didn't bite. He just said, "Yeah, Braun is fine". Yost is defensive and snippy in his PC's even after wins. He doesn't give the impression of a manager with confidence or of someone who has a firm grip on the situation.
  16. Since last night, I have mostly just been reading all the rants in this thread and others. Didn't feel the need to post because all the other posts seem to be summing up my frustrations pretty well. Although, like someone else posted, I can't believe there is not more talk about Turnbow coming in with guys on base....this should never happen. Last night was typical. Brewer blow a lead, Cubs come back and win another 1 run game. How many one run games have the Cubs won in the last month or so? I'm sure it's at least 5...to lazy to look it up right now. Unfortunatly, that's what good teams do. They win close games down the stretch. If you are in a penant race, you can not let a game like last night slip away. Just can't be done.
  17. How is getting a hot girlfriend on the side going to allow him to play Halo and spend "quality time" with his new baby? Congrats Russ!
  18. Yost, please keep a short rope on Bush and make sure Capuano is ready to go.
  19. Warning..very high creep factor. Don't say I didn't warn you! This is scary
  20. Thanks. I'm a little slow sometimes. I think I'm beginning to understand how to navigate that site now.
  21. Again, thanks for the info. Is there an easier way to pick a specific year. It seems like you click 2006, then you can look at 2005, then you can look at 2004, etc. Is there somewhere I can just type the year and jump to it?
  22. Hmm..interesting. Thanks for the info Ennder. Can I ask where you got it? I would still be curious to see a league "average" throughout the years...maybe even going back to the 60's or 70's. I could be wrong, but my hunch is that you would see an upward trend in that graph. I'm not saying that it's right or wrong to use various batting orders/lineups, but I'm curious to see what the trend has been. I'd also be curious to see both lineup and batting order trends.
  23. I have been a Brewer Fan for about 30 years now. I can not think of a player in a Brewer uniform that I disliked as much as Estrada with the possible exception of Sheffield. Yes, we had guys like Hammonds who was injury prone and not a very good player and Chuckie Carr who was laughable and A. Sanchez who was a bust and countless prospects that never saw the light of MLB, but something about Estrada just really irritates me. I see no hustle. I don't see any real concern with him that he can not throw a runner out. He completely lacks any level of intensity. I'm just glad that he is not under a LT contract and I pray that the Brewer front office sends him on his merry way.
  24. We won the toss against StL, but not the Cubs. Then there are a whole set of scenerios with WC ties against various clubs
