  1. Agreed. I'm a brandy and coke drinker. I discovered several years ago that my hangover is much less severe if I drink Korbel brandy instead of some off name brand. I'm 41 and don't go out nearly as much as I did 20 years ago. One thing I have noticed now when I go out is that bars seem to be much more generous (too generous) with the liquor in mixed drinks than they were when I was in college. In soda and liquor drinks they make half the drink liquor. Crazy.
  2. Saw them at the Arena in the Summer of 81. Never imagined that they would still be touring 27 years later! I won't hold my breath though. April is a long ways away. Still plenty of time for DLR and the Van Halen boys to get into a tour ending fued.
  3. I'm not sure why they have not made it official yet....however, I happen to have the schedule. (hope I don't get in trouble for sharing it - my ticket agent gave it to me). We have gone to spring training for the last 5 years and will be going again this Spring. We have stayed at the Legacy Golf resort every year but one and loved it. Resort accommodations at non-resort prices (although it's not super cheap). It's rated pretty high on trip adviser and we usually get a decent package deal through Travelocity, Orbitz, or one of the other travel sites. Who you are going with (family, friends, sig other, kids involved, no kids involved, etc) and the budget you have is probably going to determine where you want to stay and in what part of town. So, kind of hard to really suggest anything. I always found tripadvisor.com to be helpful. Another site that you may find helpful (and will have other team schedules on it) would be springtrainingonline.com. Help this helps. 5. Wow...you guys are good. Only could get to 36. It's frustrating. It takes so long to move up, but if you start getting some wrong, you fall quickly.
  6. We always bring in our own beverages to the Brewer's games...so I never noticed. At least they have drink holders there...so it's not as big of a deal.
  7. The fact that they don't give you caps with your bottled sodas at Packer games. I knew this and I was going to bring my own caps in today, but I forgot. I was told it was an NFL rule when I asked. Huh? Were people throwing caps at the players or what? What about rappers for hot dogs, couldn't they throw those at players too? Maybe they shouldn't sell anything. Couldn't anything be thrown? Why the crack down on soda caps? I hate having a beverages with no caps. Especially when people are going in and out of the aisle and you have to make sure that your beverage does not get tipped over. They do this at some spring training sites too, which is even more of a pain in the butt. Especially if you sit out in the grass which is not level..where are you supposed to rest your non-capped soda?

  10. Was she the 3rd shooter on the grassy knoll?
  11. I know this isn't right...but she looks like Charlotte Rae (Facts of Life).
  12. Yeah, I have to agree with jwill. You can say that Title IX is just an excuse and that it really boils down to money, but I think that is somewhat of a redundant statement. If they could just add the Baseball program without having to worry about offsetting it with women's scholarships, then it might not be as big of a financial hurdle.
  13. Benji Gregory - the little boy from ALF.
  14. Some male model from a Fleet Farm (Farm & Fleet? - never understood the difference) flyer?
  15. Pretty expensive joke: http://www.kaccents.com/Donkey.htm
  16. The only thing that I think of when I here T.I. is the old Treasure Island department store (everyone called it T.I.) that use to be in West Allis on Hwy 100 and Cleveland in the 70's.
  17. Did anyone know that Phyllis Smith (the actress that plays Phyllis Lapin) was a St. Louis Cardinals Cheerleader at one time?! Who woulda thunk it? http://www.nbc.com/The_Office/bios/#bio=smith
  18. I think this is all part of the "2008 schedule" thread
  19. "He smells like I would imagine Pierce Brosnan to smell." That's the line that killed me. Also, did anyone ever visit the "NBC Office" web site about a year ago or so. They had this great thing where you could enter someone's phone # and it would call that number with a funny message from Dwight. You could pick from 5 or 6 different messages. The weird thing was that you didn't have to register or give your name or anything. I was kind of surprised that someone didn't complain about it...maybe they did, and that's why it's not offered anymore.
  20. FTJ just doesn't like Ned because Yost is 53 and probably likes Bob Seger music. http://static.yuku.com//domainskins/bypass/img/smileys/happy.gif
  21. ?? Yeah, obviously you don't pay interest when you don't have debt ($0 balance). However, if you charge the tickets to a card that has a $0 balance, then that card no longer has a $0 balance. And if I charged the tickets on August 29th and got my bill on Sept 25th and it's due on October 10th....then if I don't pay off my balance by October 10th, I'm going to have to pay interest. I think this is what you are saying by "as long as you don't let it cycle in a month." But again, whether you purchased the tickets on a card that originally had a balance of $0 or not, you have to pay it off when it is due, otherwise you are charged interest.
  22. I remember one of the statements in the letter was that if you renew your season tickets by November 15th, you will receive an "exclusive gift". Otherwise they are not due until Jan 15th (or something like that). I wish they were a little more clear on the "exclusive gift". Is it a patch or paperweight or something like that? If so, I'll wait until January.
  23. I assume that what you mean is a 0% for x amount of months credit card. Otherwise I'm not sure why putting it on a card with a $0 balance would help? If I charged it in late Aug or early Sept (whether I had a 0 balance or not), and the billing cycle is over and my bill is due, I still have to pay it all to avoid an interest charge. However, if what Baldkin is stating is true, then I guess I don't have to worry. Also, I believe that every time you apply for a new credit card, it hurts your credit score.
  24. Philly over Colorado (4) Chicago over AZ (5) LA over Boston (5) NY over Cleve (5) Philly over Chicago (6) NY over LA (6) Philly over NY (7)
  25. I don't have the info in front of me, I have at home. I believe the process begins next week. If you charged the tickets you will get the refund quicker than if you paid by check. I am really not concerned about any "interest" they are earning. If my calculations are correct, that come to about $0.12 for every $1,000 per day. I'm more concerned that my refund will not be credited back to my charge account before my next payment is due.
