  1. lol tito. I downloaded that a few months ago, and just listened to it on my drive home from Michigan last weekend. Pretty bad. Which is sad since Green Day is one of my favorite bands ever. That said, I am right with you Tito as far as new records this year. I did get some. I don't know if they came out this year or late 2008. My record nerdiness has gone way down since I've become jaded and without a band of my own. Lately all I buy is 7" singles anyway. On a brighter note, I went all of 2008 AND 2009 without buying a single cd. Also, since most of you guys are indie rockers, and I pretty much only listen to punk and power pop, we will probably never take record advice from each other. That said, go buy these! FULL LENGTHS Hex Dispensers LP Thomas Function LP Greg Cartwright - Live at Circle A LP Used Kids - Yeah No LP Marked Men - Ghosts LP Audacity -Power Drowning LP Pinhead Gunpowder - Kick Over The Traces LP (Billie Joe from Green Day with Aaron Cometbus and some other guys, if you miss the old Green Day, you NEED this (this is pretty much a greatest hits, so I shouldn't really count it in my list.).) SINGLES Marked Men/This Is My Fist! Split 7" Future Virgins: Easiest Years7" RPM's 7" (reissue) - Great Milwaukee band from early 80's (www.singsingrecords.com) Orbits 7" (reissue) - Great Milwaukee band from early 80's (www.singsingrecords.com)
  2. i'd love to, but i can't swing it before christmas, after my first paycheck in january i'd be able to...and they have all the jerseys that weren't in stock i had ordered as well....guh
  3. thanks again houlie. im sure this is frustrating for you. if we ever run into each other while tailgating, i have a cold one waiting for ya
  4. Just heard on Captain Morgan's MLB Awards show. Link soon.
  5. the base of those look very nice. I can't be for certain, but is that the team hat painted on with a schedule underneath? Pretty neat. They all look pretty sweet
  6. Not really a surprise http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20091115&content_id=7669440&vkey=news_mlb&fext=.jsp&c_id=mlb
  7. how much did the 20 bricks run you?
  8. Fingers is a great signer, and for cheap. He was right around 20 or 25 when I got him in Cooperstown. tnweill - I went to a huge show last spring in Chicago and it was overwhelming at first. What I did, was just do a quick walk through before digging into boxes of anything just to see whats out there. Then obviously snag anything that catches your eye up front before going back to the start. I was surprised that I didn't see any bobbleheads between all the dealers. You will probably also come across great deals on signed balls and 8x10's of former brewers. I got 12 8x10's for 50 bucks from one table. (Ogilive, Cooper, Thomas, etc). I also found a signed baseballs of Capuano for 10. Have a good time, and let us know what type of items you picked up!
  9. I was hoping for just an Itchy lot, and fittingly, a Scratchy lot. Glad that they are doing this. We don't need to give any other teams recognition.
  10. Sheethead, today is managers, tomorrow is NL CY, Friday is AL MVP, and Monday is Pujols.
  11. Just because the Rockies made the playoffs, doesn't mean Tulo will be higher in the voting. Braun is higher than or equal to him in every major category.
  12. Thanks for the update Houlie, I know the guys I work with are getting worried they were snatched up at customs or something
  13. If only Sheets could have pitched a few more games in '08....
  14. Homer, I thought about HY right away too. But I'd imagine he's all pumped up cuz he did end up getting a signed ball with some "thanks for catching my first HR" or something similar.
  15. Andrew Bailey http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20091115&content_id=7669396&vkey=news_mlb&fext=.jsp&c_id=mlb Chris Coghlan http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20091115&content_id=7669422&vkey=news_mlb&fext=.jsp&c_id=mlb edit--added to thread title
  16. I wish I'd seen this thread sooner. I woulda told you to go to Two Fisted Mario's pizza. Totally great and super cheap. And after one - two PBR tallboys you are pretty buzzed from the altitude. Also, I have no idea how anyone can comprehend or make sense of all those wires and cables. Hats off to them.
  17. Thanks. I also know that wherever Legends is buying their knockoff Corey Hart jerseys to get signed, they look horrid.
  18. how do the blue brewers jerseys look? i don't know if you can tell by taking them out of the packaging. i've seen a fair amount of bad knockoffs with a more yellow trim/twill on the sleeves, and the material, for lack of a better word, is shiny. i held off to see how those were. though maybe this is better to ask someone who's ordered from jersey101?
  19. Throwback Pepsi and Mountain Dew will be available again in winter. I used to drink Mountain Dew a lot in college. I hardly ever drink soda, mostly because of the price. I've also found I like Dr. Pepper much more these days. Now I have anywhere between 1-3 sodas a week. Price generally takes it's toll on me as far as what I'd like to buy. For example, I quit smoking cold turkey when the I found out that cigarettes went up to 7.50 a pack. That's insane. I'd usually be good for anywhere between 1/4-1/2 pack a day. The first few days I'd be agitated easily, my girlfriend even joked "you should start smoking again, your much happier" but now she's happy to not wake up to me hacking every morning.
  20. Last year I got a non-fitted wool ball and glove hat for 5 bucks. pennants were a buck, hoodies were around 10-15 i believe. old player t's were 5. game used bats were in the hundreds. so yah, it really varied. I wish I had gone to that 2006 one to get game used jerseys. they also had the big head bobbles for 5.
  21. Good deal, which ones did you get in?
  22. It's hard to say what could come of Sheets, Bedard, or Harden. All three are injuries waiting to happen, but can we get enough out of them to be worth it? I dunno what it'd take for Javy Vasquez either, I just don't wanna see another 5 inning 4.5 era guy. Maybe Suppan will just retire this offseason.
  23. it'll surprise ya who you know smokes but doens't advertise it. i know it blew my girlfriends mind to find out her aunt and mom still smoke once in awhile...
  24. so these won't be listed as SGA's correct? It's nice they are rare and whatever, but it makes things a bit easier on me, since I don't collect anything but the SGA's (with rare exception, ie Bill Hall track suit)
