  1. A pair of doubles for Thames so far tonight. If he can get on a bit of a tear again, the offense could be scary good.
  2. The downgrade in defensive skills with Vogt behind the plate is definitely noticeable. Nelson's wild pitch came back to bite, but I wonder if it would've been blocked by Pina.
  3. It appears that the Tigers have not-great OF depth in their organization. The current stats bear it out; it's mentioned in Detroit-centric sports columns. Additionally, Justin Upton has an opt-out clause in his contract after the 2017 season, which could be exercised if he turns it up the rest of the season and thinks he can be an attractive free agent. That would make Brinson a key piece in any potential trade with Detroit. I'd suggest that any trade for Fulmer would involve several OF prospects. Additionally, the Tigers trading away a young starting pitcher would hurt their pitching rotation. I'd expect they would have interest in a young major league starter or a near major-league ready starter. The Tigers infield is also aging with Kinsler at 2B and Romine playing UT. So a major league or near major-league ready infielder might be sought. So throwing that all together, I'd think we'd be looking at something like this: Fulmer = Brinson, Phillips, Dubon/Villar, and Davies/Woodruff.
  4. Trade with Tigers. Brewers obtain Justin Wilson [LHRP]. Brewers trade away Lewis Brinson [OF], Kyle Wren [OF], and Cody Ponce [RHSP].
  5. When you're leading the division and players are having good years, you start to get the national columnists to take note: http://www.cbssports.com/mlb/news/keri-the-10-get-thames-to-wwe-dodgers-hotter-than-the-sun-and-more-mlb-notes/ No ground breaking content, but it's nice to see the Brewers mentioned.
  6. Not comfortable, but it's a win. Glad to be done with the Yankees. Not a fan of this AL East baseball.
  7. Putting runners on the bases, but not giving up the runs. Can't live like that for a long time, though.
  8. Barnes threw on Friday and Saturday. Seems like we don't have too many relievers pitching in three consecutive games.
  9. Brewers are walking a tightrope in this game. Really could use at least one more insurance run.
  10. Shaw + RISP = a good combination this year. Just keeps adding to the status as best pick up for the Brewers.
  11. Gonna need more runs. Tack them on unlike Saturday's game.
  12. I get more of a western feel from it. It's sort of like "X-Files" crossed with "For a Few Dollars More."
  13. Hughes and Barnes doing their part. Excellent 7th and 8th inning relief pitching today.
  14. That's tough, Suter was dominant all day, it was really just three batters Yeah, it's a bit tough. But with Suter not having long starts, it probably would've been good to have a reliever warming from the start of the inning. After the line out and the two sharp hits, then the pitching change, since the Yankees were making hard contact.
  15. Got out of the 7th with the lead. Need a couple of insurance runs.
  16. 1st inning crooked number on Santana's 3-run homer. Brewers doing what Brewers do.
  17. Got two on, scored them both. Hader is dealing out strikes, other than the Judge home run. Doing enough to stay in this game despite the errors early. Would be a feel-good win to bring this one home.
  18. Are you speaking of the play where Broxton ran into that damn brick wall again? That wall with the freaking ivy is a menace IMO. Yes. Broxton was completely fearless on that catch. But that brick wall is a definitely a menace.
  19. Got both runs back, and looking for more. More crooked numbers.
