    Hopefully Pat uses him, this time. Doesn't do much good to bring up a 9th man for the pen, and not use him. :-(

    Yeah, I always thought it was interesting that during his draft year and going forward, his curveball was his outstanding pitch, yet was not using it much in MKE after arriving. Makes a lot of sense now. And love the idea of working this other stuff back into his pitch mix. For example, sinker/change always seem to tunnel fairly well, and supply the off-speed which will get whiffs. It remains to be seen. Priester articles always mention the cost given up to get him, and certainly two low level prospects plus a competitive balance selection is something. But he is only 2 years older than the low minors pitcher in the deal, and is working in the majors already. We need 5 years for perspective, but this could also be a matter of giving up a dime, a quarter, and an unknown coin for 75 cents.     The Crew has some really good looking young starters in the system right now. Just a matter of who can work through the lower levels healthy .........

    Regarding Yoho. It seemed his issue in the majors was getting behind in the count as his stuff is more stuff to chase than throw in-zone, and the major league hitters were not as susceptible to that as AAA. My personal thought is they are waiting/working with him to throw more in-zone strikes in AAA before they retry him in the majors. And it isn't like they don't have a bunch of other pitchers who have already also pitched in the majors working in AAA to need to race Yoho back up. Peguero has been great in Nashville, where it seems he is throwing more strikes (sorta the same issue as Yoho with the big movement of his stuff). Plus he AND Payamps AND Hudson have already had success in the majors and tweaking some in AAA may get them back to that level, whereas Yoho has not had that success already in the majors to fall back on if he struggles on a 2nd visit.

    Just throwing my 2 cents in ... I never think development is linear. His growth in his age 20 season may mean his next "growth" will be in his age 22 season, and not so much this year. I believe he has some other outside factors which may be impacting him right now. Full time CFer, now, so the defensive work & stress on that is more than last year. Also, no Willy Adames to be a "older brother" figure to guide him. I'm excited about what all the types of growth he will be going through, and believe from his work effort in the minors that he will persevere ... and by his age 23 or 24 season may be about fully starting a very high peak.

    Just kinda hard to picture the Crew taking on salary. Despite the roughly negative 2.5 WAR on the left side of the infield so far this season. :-(

    Ugh. He started the year with the look of potentially being the best pure hitter in the org. And in 2025, that is a big statement.
