  1. 3 (and a half, with the doubles??) true outcome guy.
  2. Just wanted to throw out a bit of surprise of Peralta being termed a short term rental. Am fairly sure he is club controlled for a couple of more years.
  3. My brother is a Cubs fan (he spent too much of his adult life in Illinois jobs), and I always want to ask him the perspective of Contreras when he is on your team. He just seems to be a "push every edge, and past that" always to me .... as he has been on our 2 biggest rivals.
  4. He is just too similar to Turang & Frelick, with Ortiz and Durbin being lower versions of the same. Not enough pop from any of them, most nights. Killer for the overall lineup.
  5. And yet, in 5 years, I am thinking I would put my money on Adams for the best career. Big time TBD on this one.
  6. Not going to be Boeve. He has no position right now, DH only since his surgery, and he is still getting back to game shape. Not going to be Adams right after they got Vaughn in the Civale deal, and already have Ernesto playing 1B and hitting cleanup most days. Would think Wilken. And did once he started hitting homers in May. 3B is a weak spot above him, and he seems he can play it well enough.
  7. I would have thought the Crew would have had Black play in the OF in Nashville for a solid stretch - 40 games or something - to get a good read on his potential value there. That didn't happen last year as they were juggling other 40 man roster players (or potential ones) such as Roller and Hicklen while they were worried about the depth in the majors. In most ways that makes me think there is something which the Crew is seeing that we do not. Thus I expect they will move on from him by the end of 2025. Unfortunately, as it seemed there was potential for <something> out of Black but the fit didn't work exactly here in Milwaukee.
  8. Gotta be a top 5-6 non pitching prospect in the system now, no?
  9. They can use the OF depth. Collins works, but is awfully similar to Durbin/Turang/Ortiz as a hitter. Plus then Chourio isn't responsible for CF fulltime.
  10. He was sent back down to figure out how to throw more strikes. Ugh ... this ain't it.
  11. Wow, understood. Can't get by only scouting the stat line ...... :-)
  12. Wow. Came into the game with 23bb in 28i. 17er allowed. Good K numbers.
  13. Oooh. And out of the "preferred lineup spots for prospects". Interesting.
  14. Perhaps this is when they start moving a couple of the major leaguer starters? Civale to Toronto for prospects, or something? Would think it won't be for the next week as they are in the midst of the 10 games/10 days stretch. There is a plan though. Also for a 40 day spot, at some point here, Oliver Dunn can be DFAd. He has a ~600 OPS in AAA, no one is going to pick him up. Their issue will be him currently playing SS for Nash, although not that well. Delgado could handle it for a few days, and then Dunn will be back. I had thought Dunn's DFA was waiting for Wilken & Pratt to come up to Nashville for the second half of the AAA season, but Pratt hasn't been hitting much (although <maybe> started something this week????).
  15. Or does Miso tandem with Quintana on the second time through for him? As they've used DL Hall.
  16. I guess the pitchers I had in mind are the high schoolers, where some are showing a lot, but it is too early to say super high ceilings - understood.
  17. Adamczewski? No D (LF??) so that would sink him, hoping his back is not a recurring issue.
  18. Interesting .... You are thinking non-pitchers, no? Certainly would not quarrel about the D positions. And Pratt is feeling like a high floor guy, but maybe a 7 or 8 hitter in the majors. Makes a lot of sense. Payne is so young, but that makes sense.
  19. At least equally a prospect now, no? Was seeing them both in a 2028 Brewer lineup.
  20. Yeah, agreed. There is kind of a logjam ahead of him with Adams (and Boeve?) (and maybe Wilken). Plus Martinez in Nashville. Burke's bat seems to play so well, though, you gotta think in the second half he'll be in Biloxi.
  21. Would agree with others that, as they are in the midst of a 10 day stretch of games, it won't be a 6 man rotation, but Mis is being plugged in to not have others pitch on shorter rest.
  22. Surprised by Mis over Henderson, who is already on the 40 man, no?
