  1. So he won't be a long man during the NDLS. Is this also meaning he cannot be on the NLCS roster, if the Crew gets there?
  2. They are likely to need more than 1 3 inning stretch out of the pen in the Division series. Would be nice to have as many of the more stretched out guys as possible. Heck, even when Priester was rolling, Hall would work 2-3 innings.
  3. With the Crew's regular season style of shuffling the end of the roster and the back end of the pen, it is actually limiting to designate a group for 5 full games. :-)
  4. Ugh. Montgomery got hot and those starting pitching numbers seem to be a big part of it.
  5. It is really interesting how quickly Miz earned Pat Murphy's trust. Murph has not been a guy for that too much. We have seen multiple position players and relievers who Murph has let sit while overusing his trusted guys. Miz has been right in there. Perhaps it is more Chris Hook's area, with the starting pitchers, and Murph lets them be? Also thought it is interesting how Chad Patrick was in it, then has been out of it, despite not really pitching differently. Just my two cents toward Miz being in the playoff rotation or not.
  6. Saw Alfaro hit cleanup for the Nats the other day. Needed a double-take.
  7. He is still really new to the OF. I always thought once Mitchell & Perkins had their early injuries that this year was a big test for him while they figure out if he should be in CF or not, long-term.
  8. Adamczewski too, no? To attempt to replace some of his missed PAs against a mix of pitching levels.
  9. Makes some sense to me as his innings this year are very low, in comparison to Dorchies, Meccage, Renz, and Dubanewicz. Maybe even some AFL time for Bishop?
  10. They certainly are thinking and exploring ideas with the everyday players. It does not feel that way as much with the pitching staff, but that is likely just the "feeling". Thanks Jack!
  11. It'll be interesting to see how the club handles these types of situations with all of this talent now. Having multiple guys on deals has not been something the club has done at all. Hoping you see a number of these deals, but unsure it will happen.
  12. Thought Gravy Day was when you already had won the series, no?
  13. Would be so huge to get that 1st round bye ... and dodge that extra series where things may not go right.
  14. So pleased that he is adjusting, and the Brewers are giving him another shot, however long it actually is. The follow-up question will be how much will Murphy allow him to pitch - agreed.
  15. It is kinda funny. Fangraphs, in their yearly "prospects" articles for the Crew, has him in LF. There, it has been decided. That seemed reasonable to me, though. Although, some of my perspective is also due to his "classmates" more likely to stay on the grass than he.
  16. About time to have an Adamczewski article ..... :-)
  17. Tandem with Mis?
  18. Boy don't get behind Vaughn 2-0 as a lefty. His SLG may be over 1500 for that situation.
  19. 81 pitches ... can he go another inning - bottom of the order in the 6th for CHI.
  20. So if they win one of the two today, is Carlos Rodriguez an option to come up for Patrick, and play long man for Miz tomorrow? Since no DL, and Myers has pitched a bunch on Sunday.
  21. Agreed, this one is exciting.
