    Part of the reason it continues to be played at Camp Randall is because the first time they played it...when I was in college...the student section continued to belt out the words long after the song had stopped playing. It was such a huge it, the band did a halftime tribute to Neil Diamond a few games later, and they have played it ever since.

    There is a fairly large condo complex across the street from our house. There is a unit for sale in the complex, and the realtor has had an open house each of the past couple of weekends. She has put the open house sign in our yard on the strip between the sidewalk and the street. It makes it look like our house is having the open house.

    My wife's birthday was back in June. For her birthday, I decided to buy tickets to Billy Elliot in Madison. They weren't on sale yet, so I created "vouchers" for them and I would buy them when they went on sale. It was announced that the Madison stop would be delayed, and it will be coming in July, which is after her NEXT birthday. I have decided to go buy her a 1/4 birthday present to make up for the fact that she could not enjoy her gift this year.

    My daughter's day care called me today to tell me that she was running a fever and had to be picked up. They called my classroom number, which goes to the secretaries instead of to my classroom (they then transfer the call). The call was not transferred (took a message), and it took a half hour before I found out they called. Not happy about that.

    It's sort of off the main topic, but I wish they would go to this jersey for retro jerseys (best pic I could find)... http://sportschump.net/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/robin-yount.jpg I like scripted "Brewers" vs. the block lettering. They are nearly impossible to find right now. I think they used these jerseys from 1990-1993, and they went along with the gray jerseys posted earlier. Back on topic, I actually like the gold jerseys (like the Cerveceros jerseys), but really don't like the Packer's "gold."

    To head west, park in the Molitor Lot (the lot north of I-94, enter off of Blue Mound). After the game, instead of going left up the hill out of the lot, go right. It will go under 45 and past the Spahn lot. Take a left (onto 44th St). Follow that out, and it will essentially turn into Wells St. Just follow the signs for 45 South, hop on 45, then head back west on 94. There are times where that route is blocked off, but 9 out of 10 times it's open. Coming from Madison to games, the only lot I will park in is the Molitor lot, unless I am meeting friends for tailgating. If you get there early enough, there is normally not a long wait to get in. The one game we went to this year, however, was a different story. It took an hour to get from Moorland Rd. to our parking space. We were running a bit later than I wanted, and I think that made all the difference.

    I have had 2 high mileage cars over the past couple of years, and I got sick of having to take them in all the time. With our last one, I did the math and realized that with all the repairs I had done to it over the past year of ownership, we paid more per month (when averaged out) than our current car payment is on our brand new car, and I held off on $1200 worth of repairs. My suggestion is to look at the money you put into it over the past year or two to see how much you are really paying to keep the car, then compare it to a monthly car payment. If a new one is cheaper per month on average, get a new car. With a car that old, you'll be having some suspension problems coming up if you haven't already, so take that into account.

    My wife was applying for a new job the other day. The job posting said the application was due Wednesday, August 23. The 23rd was a Tuesday.

    I was in Milwaukee this evening, and was unable to find the Brewer game on my way home. Is it carried on another station in Milwaukee? I know it is in Madison when they get bumped by the Packers, but you would think it would be in Milwaukee, too.
