#9, #16 and #17 ranked prospects from the Mariners. Very very basic comparison but these are the same ranked prospects on the Brewers. Dinges, Boeve and Antunez.

I think what we are seeing from Turang is being tired. Murph rides his starters too hard.

Biggest takeaway for me lately is Turang and Durbin getting innings at shortstop.

This is my "final" deadline plan. We go for a complete lineup with no big holes. We value guys that can play multiple positions. I would platoon with the infield often. Brewers: Castro (BTV: 4.1) Twins: Burke (BTV: 2.5) and Anderson (BTV: 2.5) Brewers: Schneider (BTV: 10.8) Blue Jays: Koenig (BTV: 9.8) and Cortes (BTV: 2.3) I don't think we need any relievers. Bring up Myers or Henderson and put them in the same role that Hall and Ashby are now if we need to. Frelick (RF) Chourio (CF) Contreras (C) Yelich (DH) Vaughn (1B) Castro (3B) Collins (LF) Durbin (2B) Turang (SS) Bench: Jansen (C), Schneider (2B/OF), Perkins (OF), Ortiz/Hoskins (both on the roster in September and playoffs)

Assuming they wouldn't move Barger, what about Schneider? Brewers: Schneider (BTV: 10.8) Blue Jays: Koenig (BTV: 9.8) and Cortes (BTV: 2.3) This just feels like a Brewers trade.

Willi Castro has played 5 games of shortstop this year. For any Twins fans, is he an option there?

I wouldn't be willing to pay the price that it will take to get Kwan.

I don't care about 1st or relief pitchers but we need a new starting shortstop.

If we are acquiring rentals, we should be trading depth guys like Burke and Wichrowski. Henderson, Made, Pratt, etc should be saved for cost controlled talent.

Old school baseball decisions like that don't make analytical sense. Extremely likely that Yoho can get that last out without burning through a Megill appearance............

After reading the article on here that the Brewers should go "all in" and then they mention mostly meh rentals. I think the following trade would be a much more of an all in play. Brewers: M. Garcia (BTV: 20.5) Royals: Pratt (BTV: 28.8), Henderson (BTV: 12.9) The Royals have made a couple of small trades in hopes they can get back in the race. I don't see it from their end. We can plug Garcia in at SS and move Ortiz to a utility role that he may be better suited for. Pratt and Henderson are good prospects with bright futures but we need to win now.

Every game is important. The problem is not getting much length from Mis. I would have given him another batter (and said to just throw fastballs) rather than worrying about increasing Megill's save total.
