  1. As someone else already mentioned, fatigue was already a huge factor at the end of this game. Lowry was the ONLY Raptor to hit a FG in the 4th quarter. Fatigue is only going to be more of a factor going along. Toronto just played a game where most things went the way they wanted to, and they still lost. Hard not to be excited as a Bucks fan.
  2. Nottingham's option was already burned when he went to AAA. Bringing him up has no effect on that. Your second point, though, is very valid.
  3. Probably not unfair. I think the Phils are legit, though. And the Mets continue to underperform their amazing rotation.
  4. Which is impressive considering the relatively high expectations for 3 of the teams in that division.....
  5. I'm a believer that injuries will make our depth worthwhile at somepoint, so I think that might work itself out. I think the most likely scenario is that Shaw figures it out and the Brewers include Thames in some sort of June/July deal for a pen arm and Shaw becomes the platoon person at 1B vs. RHP.
  6. Worth noting that the Packers have announced that Gary, Savage, Keke, Hollman, Williams, and Summers have all signed already.
  7. Worth noting that Joshua Jackson isn't listed here, and he'll certainly factor into the depth chart at one position or the other (or both). I'd imagine he'd be the favorite at nickel corner at this point.
  8. I think the Giants taking Jones screwed up a lot of the value of #12 for the Packers. If they had gone Allen like they probably should have, you'd have had the Giants at a minimum trying to trade up to 12 to get ahead of Miami and Washington to get 'their guy'. As it was, Washington correctly bet that they could stay put and get Haskins, and that was probably the major hope for Gute at that point if they wanted to trade out.
  9. For all of the negative fan reaction, Chad Reuter of NFL.com and MMQB have generally given the Packers' draft very good grades. I'm a firm believer that you can't grade a draft until 3 years later, but take it FWIW.
  10. I'm not sure that a baseball fansite poll is the best way to determine NFL draft value. Honestly, you can feel disappointed if you want. I just disagree. As others have said, he's no sure thing, but I don't know what the Packer draft board looked like, I don't know where he fell on other teams' board, and I'm willing to see how he plays before rushing to judgement.
  11. You have a pretty serious discrepancy between what you know as fact and what you state as such.
  12. Anonymous comments are still a way of throwing misdirection and false info out there. If you're a guy working as a scout for the Rams, don't you have a potential reason for why you'd publically poo poo a guy in the hopes that your own team can draft him if you like him? And yes, you can find value in the 4th round. You can also find the Carl Bradford/Jerrell McMillian/Jeremy Thompsons as well.
  13. I think the major issue here is that a large portion of the fan base seems to assume that they know where Gary was valued by the general consensus, which is likely unfair or inaccurate. Mock drafts are often wrong. Reading 20 mock drafts online doesn't make their collective views a 'consensus'.
  14. Honestly, this reminds me a lot of the reaction to Thompson's early (good, probably pre-dimentia) drafts as well. Who the heck is this Collins guy out some tiny school I've never heard of? Jennings from directional Michigan? Trading up to get Clay Matthews' son, a one-year starter at USC who only tallied 4.5 sacks? Where's the production? Guys who don't get to the QB in college won't in the pros!!!
  15. I don’t remember from who, but I’m not the only one who heard or read this. If I had to guess, heyman or rosenthal. I know you 'don't know how to provide links', but if you can't even remember where you read it, please excuse my skepticism.
  16. 'Some reports?' From who?
  17. Sorry, I think you're too focused on finding a guy at 137 that was projected at xxx, while the Packers were focused on getting the right guys in the 1st round of the draft, when it literally matters hundreds of times more, based on any draft pick value chart. The Packers have indicated that they were able to get a guy at 12 that they had ranked much higher than that, and that gave them good value. They may have valued drafting a player worth 1700 on their board at 12 with 500 of surplus value more than the lesser points of surplus in the scenario above. And I'm never a fan of advocating for trades that may or may not have actually existed. What if the best offer to trade back was truly terrible?
  18. Unrelated, apparently- they were a tribute to teammate Greg Bryant, who passed away a couple of years ago.
  19. Ty Summers, ILB, TCU likely wraps up the Packers' draft.
  20. I was surprised at how bad his times were after watching his tape from ND this year. He outran defenders pretty regularly, it seems.
  21. And congrats to Badger LB Andrew Van Ginkel as well. Going to be a big day for Badger players, it seems.
  22. Kingsley Keke certainly produced at A&M, with 7.5 sacks last year mostling playing interior DL. https://cowboyswire.usatoday.com/2019/04/24/dallas-cowboys-kingsley-keke-scouting-report-30-visit-2019-nfl-draft-prospect-profile/
  23. Congrats to Badger Ryan Connolly, headed to the Giants here.
  24. Rapoport confirmed yesterday that Savage wouldn't have made it to 30.
  25. Bears just nabbed Ridley. Nice pick for them here.
