  1. Turnbow and Shouse get a blown save. ? Shouse is credited with the blown save. Turnbow gets a hold.
  2. Really? But that tieing run was TBow's run. Doesn't matter.... Shouse was the one who actually blew the save, and that's how it's recorded in the box score.
  3. Very nice to see Maddux pull Turnbow aside after the game-winning hit there....
  4. Sure we want a walk.... that way they HAVE to pitch to Hall, otherwise they walk him intentionally.
  5. C'mon Peavey, I agree with you on a lot of stuff, but there is no "guarantees" in this game. None. Not a single one. True, there's no guarantees, but that's as close of one as I'd offer you. I leave my best reliever in to get the final out regardless of the lefty/lefty crap.
  6. And now Capellan? Where in the world are Kolb and Wise? Did we suddenly lose our minds here in the 9th?
  7. I absolutely guarantee that even if Turnbow doesn't get Howard there, that he preserves the win. Man alive am I pissed. Apparently everyone except the Brewers' coaching staff knew that Turnbow was the way to go.
  8. Man alive was that stupid. How you don't have Wise or Kolb up behind him I don't get at all.
  9. What a horrible freaking decision. You have to stick with your closer there. Gah.
  10. Ned thoroughly booed for removing Turnbow, and I agree.
  11. Wise in the 8th. Kolb in the 9th. Ballgame OVER. Kolb in the 9th? I'll take Turnbow, thanks. And is Matt Wise hurt or something? Not that DLR isn't dealing tonight, it's just that Wise has only pitched once in like two weeks....
  12. There's no guarantee Lidle throws the same pitch with Koskie not on base. But then you're dealing purely in hypotheticals. Miller hit what would have been a DP ball immediately following the CS, and that's undebatable. And for the record, if that throw was off the line by another inch or two, Koskie had it stolen.
  13. Hit and run or not, just a dumb move. Now Capuano leads off next inning. Miller was up and is hot as can be with only one out, I don't think that Capuano leading off the 3rd should have played into the decision at all, especially considering that Miller hit a double play ball right afterwards.
  14. So who do you think is responsible? No definite way to know, but probably Rickie.
  15. An excellent idea, so good someone thought of it before you. August 2004 Huntsville, they announced to the press that they were working on getting Rickie to set himself before he threw and once that was sorted his defense would be fine. It didn't work out real well for them. Just because the idea is there doesn't mean that they got through to him. 'Getting on him' and actually getting him to do it are two different things.
  16. Don't look now, but Brady is back.
  17. 99% of Weeks' errors are on throws. They need to force him to set himself and not do his crazy 'behind the back jumping throws' and he'd eliminate 2/3 of them.
  18. Man is it nice to be back at home, isn't it? If only we could play somewhat reasonable on the road....
  19. And THAT is the benefit of batting with a hitters count. BP fastballs = runs.
  20. You guys are aware that you're posting in the wrong IGT, right?
  21. Think about it.. going from pitching in the Ballpark in Arlington to Petco must be like going to dinner for the first time at your girlfriend's parents only to find out her dad is Hugh Hefner and dinner is at the Playboy mansion. Apparently it's odd yet clever analogy night here in the IGT...
  22. Would have been nice to have all this going with 1 out and Carlos either on or having scored already....
  23. And another stupid baserunning error.
  24. Thank goodness it didn't cost us a run... just 6 extra pitches for Cappy.
