Along with the freezing, you can lightly tap the drive with a hammer to try to get it to work. Also, I'd recommend having an external drive on hand, so if you can get it to work, you can get your data off ASAP because it might be your only shot.
I do believe that CC is sincere when he says he likes it in Milwaukee, but I think he'll make the best decision financially and sign elsewhere. There is no way to Brewers will be able to offer as much as NY or LA, and I can't see why CC would give up tens of millions of dollars to stay here. He'll be able to make friends on other teams just like he made friends when he got traded to Milwaukee. I just hope other fans see it this way and don't boo him when he pitches in Milwaukee for another team because he's done so much for the franchise in his short time here. Expecting him to give up that much money to stay here is asking too much, IMO.
I'd like to see a Philly/Tampa Bay World Series. Philly is a lot like us, except their offense hasn't been in a funk for over a month, and it would be nice to see Jenkins make it that far. I'm still pulling for the Rays to win it all, though.
I'd imagine he'd get some consideration but hope to god he's not brought back. There's a couple of things that get to me: Small Ball - When he got the job he intended on scoring runs with small ball. It didn't exactly work out and Melvin basically said enough with the small ball crap. Unfortunately Dale hasn't given up on the idea of forcing a square peg through a round hole. From the JS Blog - "Sveum said the team has to change its identity and become acquainted with small ball and stop relying on the home run to win games." Suppan over Gallardo - Starting a clearly inferior pitcher over a future ace because of a handful a playoff starts a few years ago is simply insane. So from Dale we've learned that: scoring fewer runs "the right way" >> scoring more runs with home runs, and a mediocre starter with a few good playoff starts who has stunk for the past month >> a stud pitcher with no playoff experience.
Ugly loss today, but a great season overall. CC, it was a joy watching you pitch for the crew. Thanks for the memories. And Dale, I hope you enjoyed your month or so of managing in Milwaukee because that's all its gonna be.
No. People quickly forget how great Sheets was for most of the year, up to that huge 1-0 victory over Jake Peavy and the Padres. There's no game at Miller Park tomorrow without Sheets.
I really hope there are no boos. I'd probably go off if someone near me started booing at Brewers. I'll be there with my family. Section 416 Row 1 Seats 9-12. I'll be sporting a Corey Hart jersey tee and a playoff beard about as sad as the Brewers first two games this series.
That is one mind numbing quote from Corey right there. Corey, if you're trying to see pitches why the hell do you frequently swing at the first pitch? And you're not going to sit there and walk? That explains your god-awful obp. Working the count might help you "find it" a little faster but whatever Corey. Just keep swinging at everything, leaving a path of destruction on Brewers rallies along the way. Corey Hart, the anti-Counsell.
Not much you can do if you're CC. He's not getting calls on the corners, so he had to leave it over the plate. Those runs should be charged to Mark Wegner.
