Now 5-13 this season against winning teams. May is going to be a very rough month if they don't start coming to play against teams that aren't total dumpster fires.

Arcia was one of the top prospects in all of baseball and at this point I just don't see it. As flashy as the defense is you have to at least hit SOME at this level to be a regular starter.

Arcia has been such a disappointing player.

If nothing else they need to at least get a couple guys on in the 8th and not leave the game up to the Sogard/Arcia/PH murderers row.

Maybe I've come to expect too much from Aguilar, because that was a pretty terrible looking AB to me.

Ugh. Braun had 2 pitches on that AB that screamed "Drill me onto Bernie's slide". Took the first one and fouled off the second.

Just saying, I guarantee they’ve told Arcia over and over to swing at strikes. When Arcia gets behind in the count routinely by swinging at balls in the opposite batters box, there is only one person to blame for that. Third theory then: His translator is a secret Cub fan and relaying the wrong messages. And right on que Orlando gets a hit, ha.

We are back in the game and every pitcher had the day off yesterday. Does Suter really need another inning?

I tried looking again and even cast it to my tv, but the video quality going that route isn't as good. I plan on taping the replay tonight and I'll see if I can find what convinced me and try to take a picture of it. Until then I just hope it's moot because we came back and won. I saw what you saw on the TV replay that looked like it went in front, unless it was just my imagination. Looking at it now I can't find anything. It's like the ball just disappears into the abyss.

That's probably the deepest ball Sogard will hit all season.

It was a fair ball. It should have been called a homerun and certainly should have been reviewed. Baseball replay is the worst. There's so much wrong with it I can't even spend the time writing about it. I guarantee CC didn't challenge that because it was only the first inning. I am not saying you are wrong but it being the first inning is such a horrible reason not to challenge a call. That's a run off the board, if you think it's wrong it's worth a challenge, I don't care what inning it is. They basically give you as many challenges as you want after the 6th inning anyway.

Hitting coach has to be the most thankless job in sports (and perhaps the most useless...). You know every hitting coach in baseball, Coles included, tells the players “be patient, swing at strikes.” Not his fault Arcia doesn’t listen. Or Santana. Or Perez. Man, I hope a guy on payroll for whatever a hitting coach makes has a little bit bigger of a scope of a job than a 15 year old big brother can do.

Yeah I thought I saw on replay it going in front of the pole but on replay on MLB.com I can't see that now. That can't happen especially at home. C'mon Counsell. 0 for whatever on challenges this year means you're certainly looking at worse ones than that.

Umpire is 31 year old Quinn Wolcott, must be new. We had a really young ump a week or 2 ago too, I think 34 or 35 who was also a total dumpster fire.

I've concluded that either Darnell Coles is just awful at his job or he in some way offended Arcia in the off-season and Orlando is intent on getting him fired.

Or go get a struggling starter out which he is willing to do with any non struggling starter in the 5th on any other night.
