  1. At some point, I wonder if we just try to groom Gamel to be our SS of the future. I'm starting to wonder if Hardy just isn't a starting caliber player in MLB.
  2. It doesn't feel right listening to Daron Sutton go nuts for the Diamondbacks.
  3. I would like to extend Sheets, but I don't see the connection here. Sheets is a Brewer through this season, Gallardo will be back next season, and would be whether or not Sheets re-signs, so I guess I just don't see how Gallardo going down to injury is related to our need or desire to re-sign Sheets.
  4. Not going to sugarcoat it -- worst day of 2008 so far for Brewer fans. Easily.
  5. Ah, with 2 outs and 2 on, it's TGJ, our big RBI guy, at the plate.
  6. Sheesh, Hart has good AB's all night until now.
  7. Sounds a lot like the Chicago Cubs rotation.
  8. Just get him out. Cripes Villy. How did you completely fall apart after 4 masterful innings and 50 pitches??
  9. As if today hasn't sucked enough already.
  10. Please stop with the awful camera angles. I do not need a close-up of Mike Cameron's facial expression when he swings. I'd rather see what happens with the swing.
  11. Some really bad 2 strike pitches. Villy is falling apart here in the 5th, but he shouldn't be close to tiring.
  12. If Tejada fields that cleanly, I think they've got Prince dead at home on the force.
  13. I'm surprised Sveum wasn't rotating the arm at 3rd base screaming, "Keep going, Prince!!! Keep going!!!"
  14. Career HR #1 for Cameron as a Brewer! Always nice to take advantage of the Astros' short porch.
  15. Brian - Would you please shut up about how many in a row Villanueva has retired after EVERY SINGLE at-bat? Thanks.
  16. You'd think that a veteran like Oswalt would know where fair territory is in the infield.
  17. Now would be a good time for a patented J.J. Hardy grand slam.
  18. Is it just me, or are Hall's intentions to take the first pitch usually very obvious? I don't care if he's going to come to the plate with the full intention of taking the first pitch, but don't give it away.
  19. 6 up, 6 down for Villaneuva. With Gallardo out for the year, Villy is one of the guys who really just got a lot of added pressure. He's not going to be expected to fill Gallardo's shoes, of course, but they'll really be counting on him to be a solid #3-#4 type pitcher.
  20. Where is everybody? It's like everyone went into mourning over Gallardo.
  21. Hall just stared at a perfect pitch. We sure seem to strike out a TON with the bats on our shoulders. Still, an early 2 run lead against Oswalt, and we've made him throw 33 pitches already in the 1st. Can't be too upset about that.
  22. It doesn't seem likely to me and there really is no way to tell at this point, but do you think there is any possibility at all that we could have Yo back for the playoffs? I still think we have a shot at getting there, although it just got drastically reduced and we'll need some luck. But he would be a huge asset to have in the playoffs if we got there.
  23. YES! I am so freaking happy right now. Most satisfying win of the year. Oh yeah, the Brewers win the series at Wrigley again!
