  1. I’m all about supporting a drug addict who is trying to get clean. Or even a situation like Tony Romo. But there are societal lines that you just don’t cross and if people you are associated with do, you distance yourself from them. Abuse of women or children is one of those lines.
  2. Didn’t they just do a small toast when they clinched last year?
  3. Hopefully we don’t see Trevino again this series.
  4. I’m sure his girlfriend thought she knew him pretty well, too,
  5. It definitely looked like Mitchell’s ball based on how far each had to go. But yes.
  6. Perspective on Lara’s defense. He is at around 12 DRS in around 360 innings. It took PCA about 1250 innings to get to 16 DRS.
  7. He had it right the first time. Yelich is 0 for 3 with 2 Ks.
  8. The offense was the story of the night, as they should be, but we desperately needed a good, deep start out of May like this.
  9. He did not in fact get mad at Lara for going after his ball this time.
  10. Only got 3 guys left on the bench. Should save one. Naylor probably gets into the game.
  11. If you have Uzzu TV you can watch anything. 🤫
  12. We don’t take power seriously as an organization, despite one of our prospects hitting more home runs in the minors than any person ever.
  13. Just tuned in. Why are the Brewers still taking batting practice? Thought first pitch was at 6:40.
  14. Packers have just done an all-around poor job handling the Josh Jacobs situation but the comments by MLF today were a slap in the face to victims of domestic violence. The absolute bare minimum that he should have said was “obviously we don’t support Josh’s actions whatsoever, and really hope he can learn from his mistake and grow from it.” You don’t get in front of a mic and talk about a guy who beat a woman as a high character guy, even if you really believe it. It’s just tone deaf. They are really going out of their way to shield a guy who has one more season here at most, probably closer to half a season with the suspension, and was pretty average last season,
  15. Matt LaFleur on Josh Jacobs being convicted of beating up his girlfriend: "I know the guy. And I know the character of the guy. I've said it many times. And unfortunately situations occur in life, and it's just an unfortunate situation." Great look. An “unfortunate situation”.
  16. I’d caution people to expect that even if we do eventually get 2025 Priester back, it may take some time to rebuild the workload and command in 2027.
  17. If the Rams are supposed to be the favorite from the NFC, I have no idea who is winning the NFC.
  18. I know people don’t want to hear this, but there’s a lot more Johnny Hellwegs than Corbin Burnes out there. I’m rooting for Sproat to be the latter, of course, but I wouldn’t be taking that to any Vegas sports books.
  19. It will be interesting to see how they approach things once the bye is clinched but still being in a race with the Dodgers for HFA. Will they aggressively chase HFA or basically go full rest mode once the bye is clinched?
  20. They’ll try to spend all offseason fixing whatever he’s got going on and he’ll get a chance next spring with no guarantees. We’ll see. For now, Stallings has to get the call for Sproat. Your “save the pen” guy has to actually be able to do that. Having to use Uribe last night I’m sure really ticked Murphy off,
  21. Strawman argument. 🙄 yes, I hated the May trade. Yes, Frias and Ragsdale are “hope and projection” right now. That doesn’t mean I want to trade every guy with hope and projection on his side for 2 months of a guy with a 4.10 career ERA.
  22. Stop, that’s just not true. One single guy threw out a Tyrone Taylor comparison when discussing Chourio and his success so far and was pretty much shut down/corrected by everyone else. No one ever wanted Taylor over Chourio.
  23. Abner had a really good year prior to that injury shortened 2024. Burnes who often gets his name thrown out when talking about Sproat showed what he could do at his best in 2018 before everything fell apart for him in 2019. Sproat has never had any success in MLB to know that he can. It’s all hope and projection. Some said at the beginning of the season that we would need Sproat at some point — we didn’t, thank goodness. Could he still figure it out? Sure. Is it more likely that he’s just going to be one of the many names that MLB is littered with who had the tools but never amounted to anything? Yes,
