  1. The more things change, the more they stay the same. I love Giannis and hope he sticks around but they’re just not coming close to title contention again in this era. And I can understand if he doesn’t want to spend the rest of his career hoping to win a play-in game every year.
  2. One of the reasons that the defense has remained at “very good, but….” throughout the season is that the acquisition of Parsons has not improved the rest of the group the way we had hoped. Parsons has been everything we could have hoped for. But it has not unlocked Gary, most disappointingly, in any meaningful way. I am fairly confident that this would be a well below average defense were it not for the late training camp addition of Parsons.
  3. This is hilarious.
  4. People acting like this is coming out of their own pocket or that we were otherwise going to earmark $22M just for this season for free agency. We have a really good pitcher coming back to our staff for 2026. That’s the only part of this that we need to concern ourselves with.
  5. https://www.mlb.com/amp/news/brandon-woodruff-rowdy-tellez-non-tendered-by-brewers.html November 17th, 2023, dude.
  6. I think Woodruff’s market was just really tough to predict and I’m guessing that’s what his agent told him. I could have seen his best offer being 3/75 or 2/35 and neither would have really surprised me that much. So I understand Woodruff’s perspective — if he stays healthy and productive all of 2026, which is well within the range of possible outcomes, he’s still in a decent position to cash in on a big(ish) 2-4 year deal. If it doesn’t work out, he got 32 million to pitch in 2026 which at the time of his non-tender he probably doubted he’d make that the rest of his career.
  7. Not sure what you mean. He’s getting 22 plus the 10 buyout. 32M+ total but yeah 10 was already accounted for and going to happen either way.
  8. I agree with all this. However, having about 8 teams that have a decent shot at winning the NFC means our chances are probably 10-15%. The worst part about the 2025 Packers is that they gave us a 1 week preview in Week 1 of what they CAN be and then we haven’t seen anything close to it since. And every time since then you watch them and think, eh, they’re ok, but they could be so much more.
  9. Depends on the opponent. I expect them to also go for it on 4th down 5 times against us on Thanksgiving except go 4 for 5.
  10. Right. Barring him really figuring things out the rest of the way, I think that’s kind of the situation we’re looking at here.
  11. Man, wasn’t rooting for Detroit but what a weak PI call to end the game. Just ridiculous to end a game like that.
  12. Yeah. It’s weird. Ned Yost and Mike McCarthy are generally considered to be incompetent buffoons by Wisconsin sports fans. But. They both got rings.
  13. Bet they won’t be there after Week 18.
  14. LOL. I don’t care how effective the tush push is. Going for it on your own 30 on 4th down up 10 to a team you’ve allowed 6 points to all game is incomprehensibly stupid. Detroit still can’t do anything though, so probably won’t cost them.
  15. Yeah, that’s not a great call on 3rd and 3.
  16. .
  17. It *should* be over, but the Giants are probably going to get the ball back with 15 seconds left or so and a Hail Mary shot.
  18. Holy freaking crap they finally made Jameis pay.
  19. Oh, it’s a foregone conclusion. One way or another, this game isn’t going to overtime.
  20. Incredible how small this defense comes up when they have the game on the line. Is this not why you traded for Micah?
  21. Any faith that an all-in defense who added Micah Parsons in the offseason can stop a 3rd string QB and some practice squad receivers here?
  22. I’m totally certain in no way will that timeout come back to bite us.
  23. Lol. A hold at the worst possible time.
  24. Lol Doubs. Another drop.
