  1. Because Pat Murphy runs a great clubhouse but makes very questionable in-game decisions.
  2. I defended the Patrick usage in his last outing because I thought they were trying to keep him stretched out but he’s clearly still not rested enough to pitch again. It’s looking like a bizarre decision from Murphy to not use Rom in a blowout win just to option him the next day.
  3. Everyone but the 7-8-9 in the lineup has a higher OPS and can actually field a position.
  4. Apparently Yelich can at least beat Suarez in a foot race.
  5. I’m not saying it was a mistake to bring him up, but people are going to be disappointed in his this year if they are expecting big things. He’s probably going to be Joey 2.0 this season.
  6. If you feel frustrated with our inability to score runs this series, at least you’re not a Reds fan.
  7. Generally teams don’t bench their best hitter when their offense is struggling. That hasn’t helped,
  8. I think what should hurt the Red Sox the most is knowing that if Harrison and Drohan were still on their team they would still be afterthoughts.
  9. No, I just want him to swing the damn bat a little more when he has a chance to drive in runs.
  10. Bauers is having a very nice season, but I am really tiring of his passive 2 strike approaches with men in scoring position. Far too many backwards K’s.
  11. Murphy when Vaughn asks if he’s starting tonight
  12. I’m still sad. This is a tough one. Giannis was the kind of player you really wanted to see here for his entire career. Nonetheless, they did what they had to do. Losing Giannis for nothing would have been catastrophic. And it’s clear that they weren’t going to be able to do anything more than be a fringe playoff team for the rest of his career here. You can’t really replace a Giannis one for one but I can’t fault them for taking basically the equivalent of six 1st round picks.
  13. True. Nobody gets it right 100% of the time. But when you look at this organization compared to league averages, they are definitely right more often than they are wrong.
  14. One start doesn’t make me a believer yet that he’s not a pen guy, but it’s definitely a welcome step in the right direction. Hopefully he can build on that. I wanted to add … we are all rooting for Sproat and wanting Sproat to succeed. We all want this team to go to a World Series. Different people are allowed to have opinions and players that they are higher or lower on, without making them a negative fan. There were plenty of folks 2 years ago that thought that Miz was strictly a bullpen guy. It doesn’t mean that those people are stupid or dumb. It means that we all have our own evaluations of the players that we see based on the information that we have. The people that run the Brewer organization are better at it than any of us, so fortunately we are usually in good hands as far as who the decision makers are. On the flip side of the coin I remember when Josh Hader came into the league and many thought he would be a starter in the mold of Chris Sale. None of us are batting 1.000.
  15. Maybe that first sentence. You know that not one person ever said that second sentence and I doubt the third.
  16. So who is our starting 5 as of right now?
  17. He’s going to be fine. Every hitter goes through a slump from time to time like he has this month.
  18. With Woodruff and Sproat on the hill, I would not have guessed that 4 combined runs in two games would be enough for one win particularly at GABP. Instead, it was enough for two,
  19. Is it possible for Fischer to go from Appleton all the way to Milwaukee within the same season?
  20. I think we did fine tonight. Burries is the safe pick and a really good all-around player and Ament is the ceiling pick.
  21. We are telling them who to draft. We have 100% say. Think when Dirk Nowitski was a Buck for like 5 minutes.
