  1. I as others have said continue to be mystified by the lack of opportunity for Woodruff this year. Very good work today.
  2. One is basically 31 years old and the other is their prized arm and is 24 years of age. It does make a difference. They want him to last. It’s frustrating to lose games because he isn’t available all the time but the other part of me does understand what they’re doing. So then why not use Jeffress for the last out in the 8th?
  3. So, Hader wasn't available after a day of rest following 2 days of work, but Jennings was available for the 3rd straight day and 4th in the last 5 days? You don’t believe that they’d limit a prized arm over a journeyman reliever? It is very plausible that Hader is being limited as an organizational plan. I believe that they would do it, I just hate it quite a bit because of how crucial each game is right now and how much it sucked missing the playoffs by 1 game last season. At some point they've got to choose their priorities here. I'm not saying you should be risking injury, but it's September and if you're serious about playing in a month you're going to have to push guys. We are not going to make the playoffs by trusting critical innings in September to guys like Dan Jennings and Jordan Lyles.

  5. It's September. Every win (or loss) is becoming more magnified in importance. At some point, they had better forget about the long game and do what they must to win the game in front of them today.
  6. Using one single game from Hader to try to imply he isn't a good choice there is just a really bad argument. Hader has been awesome almost every time he comes in with inherited runners. One game doesn't change that. The only way not bringing in Hader wasn't a terrible decision there was if he wasn't available.
  7. That would be outstanding if we hadn't compounded the Jennings mistake by bringing in Lyles.
  8. Seriously, I don't know how much clearer Jennings can make it that he can't handle high leverage situations.
  9. I wish they'd invent a time machine so Counsell could go back and fix that ridiculous decision he made 15 minutes ago.
  10. Lol. Jennings is such a bum. Time and time again we still trust this guy to get critical lefties out and time and time again he fails. Just awful.
  11. I think you go jennings here against the lefty. It feels like that has worked about once in the last 10 tries. Is Hader..unavailable or what? I cannot think of a situation that more calls for him than this.
  12. Lyles and Jennings might be the very last 2 you would like to see come into a bases loaded jam. Thanks Soria. That was terrible.
  13. The Brewers seem to be living in an alternate reality with him, a reality where Jordan Lyles is not a pitcher who is 4 wins below AAA replacement level for his career.
  14. Well damn. I'm not going to lie, I was hoping for a cheap win and save the pen. All good as long as it's actually good enough to play, and not some crap of "Well, this is as good as it's going to get, let's go."
