  1. In today's MJS it metioned the same Slovak team beat Bulgaria 82-0 in a qualifying game. The Slovak goalie plays for Bemidji State. I had forgotten that was mentioned during the televised Camp Randall Classic. I wonder if Badger fans will have any witty chants prepared when she plays in Madison next season.
  2. Mmm, now Matt Vasgersian is a ski-jumping expert (?) On Al Michaels, pretty sure that was his voice but wow, look at his face I couldn't believe what I was seeing.
  3. I'm aware of it, but I've haven't been in the Utah area the last eight years. Laugh if you wish, but it's on my "to do" list of things in life.
  4. First one in. Opening Ceremonies tonight. Events I look forward to seeing: Bobsled Alpine Skiing Speed Skating Biathlon A year ago I looked into getting tickets, but just a tad outside what we could afford. Who knows when it returns to North America?
  5. One year they had "SULLY" for the trainer.
  6. Our wedding only cost a few grand, but we made sure to get a professional photographer and videographer. Glad that we did. That's going to be the record of your event. Don't leave it to amateurs!
  7. It takes a staff of 200 to put on that show? Last night was the first time I watched a Conan show in its entirety. The final jam was interesting, but Conan never did much for me and most likely won't notice his absence.
  8. Just as Wiz's dad did, I attended a fair number of games back in the 70's. The thing is few games were well attended, and then it was due to local businesses buying up blocks of tickets and distributing them for free to the public. Many of those businesses are gone. Also, those were the days before expanded cable and internet. Should be interesting to see what interest currently exists.
  9. The Kohl Center doesn't get as loud as the old Fieldhouse and the Badgers weren't unbeatible there, so I don't think that's it. The home team is good for about five points. As long as Wisconsin is near the top of the conference in talent, they'll be favored in every home game (and half the road games). I say the success at home is from talented players and outstanding coaching.
  10. Just a note to everyone that Tuesday evening the UW women's team hosts the US Olympic Team. The Olympic team has five or so former UW players on the roster. A slight tangent from discussions regarding the men's team, but this is the Badger Hocker thread. I'm intrigued enough to make the drive in from Waukesha.
  11. Considering 1-AA offers 63 schollies and D3 zero, I think Whitewater would tough have sledding against 1-AA.
  12. A set of racing sausage beenies. Worked for me.
  13. Do you live at The Meadows?
  14. I may be the only person in Wisconsin who attended both the Wisconsin-Marquette women's game Friday night and the men's game Saturday. Earily similar, both Marquette teams have no inside presence, relying on the high screen to drive the lane. Nice sweep by the Badgers.
  15. I'm bugged this game wasn't on American television. I'm bugged I would have had to pay $10 to watch it on the internet.
  16. Just a question I have (post here vs. starting a new thread). I have an op to work a full-time *temp* gig for about eight weeks. I have six weeks remaining on my Wisconsin UE. I wouldn't need to file for the weeks I'd be working. The question is, would I stil be eligible to collect the remaining state UE after the temp gig is up? I am thinking 'yes'. And how about the 40 weeks of Federal UE I would be in line for?
  17. I don't have a favorite. I just don't like the people of Philadelphia any more than New Yorkers. Last night was the first post-season game I have watched.
  18. Great game, great seats. Top row, 100 level, center red line from an ex-co-worker. And yes, we enjoyed the free scoop.
  19. Logan stole my thunder, Stonefore would be my first pick. tri is correct, it would be inappropriate for kids to run around the Delafield location.
  20. I don't believe you, or did you mean "happy". http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  21. They've been on two episodes of Wife Swap. The parents are a little goofy.
  22. I have made the drive from Milwaukee to Las Vegas to Los Angeles. I made it in a February. Colorado was great. Utah surpasses my expectations. Nebraska was brutal. I think this time of year would be a bit dull. But flying takes just three hours, so it is easier. As mentioned above, you've seen everything as you drive back.
  23. An interesting find in one of my trade magazines: The coefficient of variation (CV), sometimes called the relative standard deviation, is often used to assess the quality of an assay,1 the diversity in organizations2 or as a benchmark for ranking.3 It is measured as a fraction or percentage of how much variation exists in a variable in relation to the mean, so it represents a highly useful-and easy to interpret-concept in data analysis. http://www.asq.org/quality-progress/2009/07/statistics-roundtable/player-rankings.html
  24. My chiropractor mentioned children who went through difficult deliveries are subject to infections due to physicians grabbing the head and twisting to get it out of the womb, leaving the vertebrae misaligned.
