  1. How many people will have the courage to pitch now? BrewerFanMatt, you're da man.
  2. I had UWM to cover 6.5 points against Butler. They lose by 8 - in overtime.
  3. Wow, this is way more advanced than what I had playing YMCA ball. My dad was our coach for my 3rd-5th garde team one year and he taught us to play zone defense. It wasn't until the middle of the third game until an opposing coach yelled "Hey, you're not allowed to play zone in this league!"
  4. Was this the Nolan Ryan 300-win game? I still have that on tape.
  5. Purchase Field Level seats vs. Loge Level seats. With my wife out of work eight months last year, we saw many games in the Terrace Level. And maybe buy some new carpeting. We need it. My wife has been bugging me about it for five years now. Save the rest.
  6. I'm going to stick up for Bostonians. When I was out there last April for The Marathon, they treated my wife and myself like royalty. Something I will always appreciate.
  7. Jeff Feagles became the oldest person to play in the Super Bowl. He is exactly two days older than me.
  8. I wish I was athletic enough to sit in a car for hours on end. Sorry, I had to Emphasis on the word "reaching"!
  9. My Top 10 current Wisconsinite athletes (no particular order): Devon Harris Mark Tauscher Andrew Rock Paul Hamm Morgan Hamm Jeff Nygaard Chellsie Memmel Leslie Osborne Steve Stricker I'm reaching for one more, so I'll say Matt Kenseth On edit: the Northwoods needs to be represented, so I'll throw in Anna DeForge. I'm thinking outside the box with that one. Feel free to add. jaybird: your all-time list is incomplete without Eric Heiden. I'd say he's #3 behind Favre and Aaron.
  10. A new trend is some employers won't interview people from out of state. I think it sucks, but the reasoning is they will save money by not having to cover relocation costs.
  11. The Wave has always been in the NPSL (now MISL "II"). They played in the BC until 2003. The attendance increased gradually throughout the 90's until it hit 8,000 a game in about '02 or so. Then they got a better deal from The Cell, moved there and became a primary tennant. But since then they struggle to get 5,000 for a game. They don't market themselves well anymore. I think they have a home game Sunday afternoon. With the Packers done, hopefully they'll have one of their better turnouts.
  12. I taped last Thursday's Wisconsin womens hoop game on Wisconsin Public Television. I ran the tape long. Now I'm watching some German comedy program WHA ran that's akin to "Friends". Two young guys and two gals. So far I've understood two words.
  13. Relative value: HR = 10 3B = 7 2B = 5.5 1B = 3 BB = 2 SB = 2
  14. I just found out that Squiggy of "Laverne and Shirley" fame is a scout for the Seattle Mariners.
  15. On Monday I take my PC in to check out what I thought was a modem issue, only to hear "I hate to be the bearer of bad news Mr. Jimbo, but your motherboard is shot." I order a new unit off the shelf just so I could get things going again, only the sales guy didn't connect the CD Rom, so no internet or software for two more days. My e-mail is lost because all these years I was too lazy to look up how to backup MS Outlook 2003. I taught myself today via Google. My bookmarks were backed up on a floppy. Only now the disk has become corrupted. Eleven days off from work and no computer for the last four. Today is my first day of work after eleven days off. Nothing else that's bugging me that I can think of. ----- Continued from: viewtopic.php?p=284951#p284951 Original Lead: viewtopic.php?f=67&t=2392
  16. FOX shows Game Breaks from FOX games as well as CBS games. CBS only shows Game Breaks from CBS games. I was in Indianapolis watching the Colts game on CBS. (Hint: no Packer updates).
  17. Stunned that Nieves is a MLB coach, or that someone employs Sean Berry as a hitting coach? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  18. Forever. I still resent the people who wronged me back in the early 90's. I look forward to the day when I can whiz on their graves.
  19. Good to see Suzy is doing something with her art degree.
  20. #00 Otto Orf http://my.execpc.com/~silkey/orf.JPG P.S. I know, a day late - but still zero wins needed to reach 82.
  21. I attend a game in the season's final week in the first pennant run in fifteen years and four guys behind me are playing "baseball poker" or whatever the heck it is called, so they're rooting for individual Brewers to screw up so their buddy doesn't get a buck.
  22. Robin19: Think of it as two separate races - men's race and women's race. The women train just as hard as the men. Give them the props and respect they desreve. 99% of male runners will agree with me. They are equal, and the MJS are treating them as such. Not true. OK, so to get listed one would have to finish under 31:32. For a male, that relatively pedestrian. For a woman, that's nearly an NCAA D1 effort. Hope this clears this up. http://static.yuku.com//domainskins/bypass/img/smileys/smile.gif
