Herrera brings two things. He isn't hurt and he is willing to play the outfield (unlike some other middle infielders I know). We did send him to the minors and only brought him up because Gomez is injured. Herrera replaced what would have been Gindl's spot in the lineup, so I'm not that upset. I am upset that he hit first and was in CF while Logan was in the corner. I didn't. Our choices are K-Rod, Duke, Kintzler, Thornburg, Wooten, and Wang. We could not get into a save situation. We don't want to bring in K-Rod with runners on base. At home you should use your closer in the 9th. You use your closer and hopefully you score and never see their best reliever. The loss can be chalked up to K-Rod having his first bad day of the year and having your top three offensive weapons hurt.
