  1. I have season seats behind the right fielder. Hart does not get good jumps on the balls, based on other right fielders that I see play in front of me. There are some that are worse (like the Pirates catcher in RF), but most get better jumps than him. Hart does read the bounce off the wall better than the other fielders. I'm not trying to be biased, that's just what it looks like to me.
  2. They haven't retired 17 yet, no reason to retire 51.
  3. Anybody know what the fan did, besides point out the obvious lack of ability of this crew?
  4. That's because Lambeau field is a choice between grass/turf and mud. The players wouldn't want to slosh around in mud. Artificial turf can be nicer to play in (less bad bounces), but it can destroy the human body running on it. That is why everyone went away from it. It is no longer a plastic cement driveway anymore.
  5. I have been having internet trouble for several weeks. My home network has been getting slower and slower, culminating in a whopping .40 Mbps on Friday. My SO's computer got a wiped (it was running Vista with no SPs). My laptop was still running slow. I thought I had caught something from her computer. I borrowed a netbook from work for the weekend. Even on the netbook, I was getting no speed. I plugged the netbook directly into the cable modem and instantly saw a problem. The modem was turning off and on it's connection every half second. My router was covering up this fact, displaying the network as steady on and sending packets when it could. A trip out to Southridge and a new modem at home, and suddenly I had 5 Mbps. It felt so weird to be without internet at home, but able to still access basics (like BF.net, weather, etc) on my Blackberry.
  6. Alverez hit a foul ball in the 6th. Inglett tossed it into the crowd. I was the one who caught it. My SO is proud of me.
  7. Fyi, they just closed half the roof. It is the shade side. The shade reaches out to home plate already. I wonder if they are going to leave it like this for the cry babies on this team.
  8. CC was not our player. We would not have gotten subsidized for him.
  9. Anybody shocked that Prince failed witht the bases loaded and nobody out, but he manages a home run with the bases empty?
  10. 600 would not generate ticket sales. It would generate merchandise revenue for years. That might be worth enough to pay his salary.
  11. It's the Milwaukee Police Department. Good luck with that.
  12. www.chrisoleary.com Normally, the elbows are below the shoulder. This creates a W shape. Putting the elbows above the shoulders changes the shape to an inverted W. Tough break for the Nats.
  13. What are we going to do without Prince in this lineup?
  14. How many people in Milwaukee still cheer for the Braves? It seems they come to the park every year they come back (though in dwindling numbers). I'd start following pennant teams. I've had my fill of losing.
  15. I would love to see Fielder vs Bush. I'd also love to see a good pitcher on this staff.
  16. It seems like once a month a person ahead of us at Woodman's has an EBT card. They usually have a cart full of name brand food and wearing name brand clothes. They usually have Coach purses and Tiffany jewelry. We have off brand clothes and a cart of off brand food. My SO couldn't find a job, and when she did it was two part time jobs that added up to 30 hours a week. She's now down to one part time job around 20 hours a week. She was told she qualified for $10/month in food stamps. Wow, thanks for the assistance. I once saw a gentleman use his EBT card to buy a Star Trek set of Pez dispensers. I had seen them, but thought $18 was a little much for 6 pez dispensers. I wouldn't have thought that if the taxpayers would buy it for me. The cashiers all think it's ridiculous. We talk to them, and they can't do anything about it. They have to run the card and see if it goes through.
  17. Or when you sell your tickets to a ticket broker. The ticket broker jacks the prices higher. And you own the ticket broker.
  18. At least he didn't move Cain to RF and put Dickerson in CF again.
  19. She has experience to set the price, get people in the door, paperwork, etc. I wouldn't know where to start FSBO.
  20. I think they have a non-HD camera, or an HD camera with less resolution, for those shots. It's not just you.
  21. I just listed my house with an agent, so I can't help with the FSBO. But I was going to buy a condo up in Wash Co. after it sells. Are you in that area?
  22. They were just looking for a good defensive 3B. I don't think they cared about his bat. Just imagine the headline at AstroFan.net "Feliz traded to Cards for P Carpenter!".
  23. 1.SS 2.CF 3.C 4.2B 5.3B 6.RF 7.LF 8.1B 9.P My unsientific list.
  24. Gwynn is out for the year with a broken hand. They just wanted another no hit lefty CF to replace him.
