  1. I'm mad it was in low def WMLW. I'm sure this game will be replayed and it will always look like it came from the 90's.
  2. By default, better than our other RF besides Gerut (who I consider CRer)?
  3. There were some pitches that were right down the middle the FoxTrax would say was on the corner or outside. I think FoxTrax needs some work.
  4. Hawkins has been warming up since the 6th. That way he comes in tired and will give up a lot of runs right away.
  5. I think his example is backwards. Would a manager skip his ace (if he's in the ASG he's probably the ace) or pitch him on short rest just so he could pitch the ASG? I would see a manager giving a pitcher an extra day off to make him pitch on that Sunday. Then he knows is ace won't pitch on Tuesday, and will be available to go again on Thursday.

  7. Sitting at this game is hard. The cubs are making it unenjoyable. Their fans are worse.
  8. He was carted away on a stretcher. It was a very scary situation. Whatever team he cheers, I hope he will be ok.
  9. If baseball was based on "free market", a team should be allowed to move to NY to take away some of the customers. Baseball is not a free market. Baseball is a negotiated monopoly between its various sectors. The Yankees and Mets are allowed a monopoly in the NY area. The Brewers are allowed a monopoly in parts of Wisconsin. A monopoly only works if the money being made hand over fist in one sector is used to cover the operating losses in another area.
  10. I don't think an NL team was offered to move. It was an AL team that needed to be moved. KC was offered first, Mil second.
  11. Are you kidding me? That's all I hear. I get blasted for not being a packer fan because they're storied/stadium/best fans etc. That's what makes me hate them more. And there are plenty of us that hate the packers.
  12. Doesn't Hernandez give this same clinic every time he faces the Brewers?
  13. It appears that the ump doesn't consider the left side a strike.
  14. Who is doing the PBP? I missed the top of the first and thought I had the Nats feed.
  15. Yes, you can load software from a USB device. Take another computer (like home pc) and download the install file. Put the file on a USB drive. Double click the file when you get to work. That will install the software. It should be able to also update itself. I think the Koobface worm attacks IE and not the net port. You might have to contact your IT department. I don't know what proxies or privileges you are allowed at work. You may also try this link.
  16. The camera guy was out in the AirTran Airway section talking with his boss when the real Hart hit his HR Thank you for the great ending Hart II.
  17. I just bought a Blackberry. This is my first post with it. I also start a new part-time job Monday. I'm geeking out.
  18. I know Yount/Molitor/Gantner have the most hits as a trio for one team. I don't think Rivera has enough hits to beat that record http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  19. Hmmm. Teams are investing millions of dollars in guaranteed contracts. Modern statistics can give an estimate of how that player will perform. Teams are using this information to postulate how much a player is worth. These teams are coming up with similar numbers. It must be because the teams are in collusion, not because they are all doing similar number crunching.
  20. 4/5 - vs COL L 4/6 - vs COL W 4/7 - vs COL L 4/9 - vs STL L 4/10 - vs STL W 4/11 - vs STL W 4/12 - @ CHC L 4/14 - @ CHC L 4/15 - @ CHC L 4/16 - @ WSH L 4/17 - @ WSH W 4/18 - @ WSH W 4/20 - @ PIT W 4/21 - @ PIT W 4/22 - @ PIT L 4/23 - vs CHC L 4/24 - vs CHC W 4/25 - vs CHC L 4/26 - vs PIT L 4/27 - vs PIT W 4/28 - vs PIT L 4/29 - @ SD W 4/30 - @ SD L My prediction is 10 - 13 My tiebreaker: HR 6 + SV 4 + SB 4 = 14
  21. When did they add a 163rd game to the schedule? I jumped ahead of myself. 76-85, with a possible rain out game making it 76-86.
  22. Braun and Prince remain the great players they are. Gallardo is a descent starter, but doesn't become a household name outside of Wisconsin. Wolf and Davis will do worse than Brewer fans were expecting. We get no offense out of SS, 3B, RF, C, or CF. We start running (SB and extra bases) and make a lot of outs on the base paths. Our bullpen isn't as good as last year. 76-86 (and a rain out game that, if played, takes us to 76-87)
  23. Even the Brewers (at least publicly) don't know who the 5 starters will be. It's hard to make a prediction since a large part will depend on what happens with Soup.
