Reds will ing to eat nearly 10 Million for a decent return on Harang. According to Yahoo reporter http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/news?slug=jp-pitchingmarket122109&prov=yhoo&type=lgns
Cincy could gain more payroll flexibility & prospects , Dodgers could add the back of the rotation pitcher they want. Brewer get a decent upgrade over Suppan & dump some of his contract. Milwaukee would probably have to give up at least 6 Million to get it done. 3.5 now & 2.5 for the buyout at yr end.
According to Jon Heyman. http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2009/12/roy-halladay-rumors-monday-1.html Phils close to landing Halladay, but can't get Lee to lower his demands on an extention. Possible 3-way trade happening? Confused I am
I'm not concerned about replacing Hart there are a ton of OF on the market. Randy Winn & CoCo Crisp come to mind. I bet that Hart for Maine deal is ago once New York adds there FA SP(s).
Wolf has always had talent not a nibbler by any means. When he has been healthy he has been pretty good. Hopefully he'll be like Al Lieter & not Jeff Suppan. Now if they can land a decent high reward guy Smoltz/Bedard/Duchscherer
Boston or another big market team will gobble up al the high-risk/ high-reward guys. Brewers are gonna need to get SP threw a trade or overpay for another former cardinal.
I think a game can be declared official if 5 inngs have been completed & play has been stopped. But you can't play 3 or 4 inngs stop play & resume play to try & get 5 inngs in the book. Some special rule that you got to play at least 6inngs if such a scenario occurs
