  1. I was in Seattle for that one, but not at the game. I was getting drinks and watching it before going to the Seattle v Portland soccer match that evening. Wish I could've gone!
  2. I love Houston's (Darryl Morey's) rule. No same-race comparisons of players. So, clearly Thon is Larry Bird.
  3. This is a team (the Milwaukee Brewers) that had a CHICAGO BEAR (Peanut Tillman) throw out the first pitch at Miller Park during a Brewers Cubs series. Can you imagine the Cubs having AJ Hawk or Clay Matthews throw out the first pitch at Wrigley?
  4. Is it Phillips? I bet it's Phillips.... Some older (stupid) items were sold bundled with a DVD player, and to be cheap they would use a VGA 15-pin cable to go from the DVD player to the Subwoofer/speaker setup. It's a pretty awful setup, as you're required then to run everything through the DVD player to get sound out of the sound system. http://www.p4c.philips.com/cgi-bin/cpindex.pl?ctn=HTS3450/37&dct=QAC&faqview=1&refdisplay=AVS_HTS_031&refnr=0006801&scy=GB&slg=ENG
  5. Depending on what time there will be more options to park, because 2 hour parking stops at 6 or 7pm downtown, I believe. There is plenty of free street parking just north of the BC (turn left/North off of McKinley on 4th St) you'll have to walk about 4 or 5 blocks. I don't believe any of that is 2-hour parking on the streets that run between 3rd and 4th st.
  6. That was awesome. Thanks. Crowd was LOUD! Almost no one wearing anything Brewers related (imagine that today!)
  7. The problem isn't that they have a ton of holes, it's that other than Monroe and Brogdon, they're spending 40 million on their bench that isn't contributing at all. Terry is averaging 17 minutes a game, plays no defense, is on the team to do one thing (hit open 3's) and is only hitting 34% of those. Beasley is still awful, doesn't know what defense is, shoots way too many long contested 2's (constantly opting for those instead of wide open 3's) -- he's third on the team in shots per minute behind Giannis and Jabari. That's not good. Teletovic doesn't play, and I can't understand why. He gives everything Beasley does, only he shoots 3's instead of 2's. Plumlee, well, the best I can say is in the last two games he hasn't actually looked at the basketball like he didn't know what it was when he caught it (as he had in the previous few games) Middleton coming back will help, but until Kidd tightens his rotation from 12 to 9, the team will still struggle and lose leads.
  8. I'm pretty sure another GM called up Hammond and told him, "We're going to offer Plumlee 13 Million ov..." (Hammond interrupts) "13 million a season! I can do that!"
  9. I don't think they need a better pointguard. Taking the ball out of Giannis' and Jabari's hands would just make the team worse. The one guy I'd want is Patrick Beverly, but Houston LOVES him. I also think that's who I think Snell can become, honestly.
  10. I don't think that's enough for Cousins. Not really even close to what Boston (for example) could offer. I knew Giannis would get better this season... I just didn't think he'd get THIS MUCH better. He's a superstar. When he defends off the ball he eats up huge amounts of the court.
  11. Spatchcocked (Butterflyed) a chicken for the first time over the weekend. Came out great. Super easy to grill that way.
  12. I dont have it, so I cannot speak to it directly. However, all of my friends talk about it and love it. Most often they mention days where there are just amazing deals. Steam is a service (marketplace?) where you can buy games digitally, and download them at your leisure to replay them anytime. Where it truly is amazing, however is the "Wishlist" feature, (I want these 8 games) and it will then notify you when they go on sale. You can also 'friend' people on Steam and find out when they are playing (and what they are playing). So if you want to co-op with buddies it makes it easier.
  13. I was reading up on him a couple of months ago. He seems like he's doing some things that could provide for the betterment of humanity and the earth but I feel like he's just a step away from becoming a real life bond villain. Not to turn this into politics but, he throws gobs of money at whichever politician will support his projects regardless of party. Basically he's a rich genius who knows how to game the system and can buy anyone he wants. That's dangerous. Like every large corporation in America.
  14. I'm a PC gamer, and I've become mildly addicted with a game called Factorio. You build a factory, automate some stuff, automate more stuff, make trains to help you automate even more stuff and then suddenly it's 2am.
  15. Giannis is by far the best of the bunch. I say that as a guy who still has a purple #34 jersey which I can't even fit in to. The supporting cast isn't nearly as good as that 2000-2001 Bucks team, but, remember, those were the only two playoff series that group won (the only two in the last 27 years, too)
  16. You can probably come to the conclusion yourself if you think about it. Hint: $$$ Or, you know, the two teams in the title game having twice as many losses.
  17. Mr. Glass was amazing in Firefly, probably my favorite performance from the single-season cult hit. R.I.P.
  18. ORPM is offensive rebounds plus minus DRPM is defensive RPM is total rebounds. RPM is Real Plus Minus, or Adjusted Plus Minus. http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/10740818/introducing-real-plus-minus http://www.espn.com/nba/statistics/rpm
  19. Klinsmann fired as coach of USMNT. http://www.ussoccer.com/stories/2016/11/21/19/34/161121-mnt-us-soccer-parts-ways-with-jurgen-klinsmann
  20. So, the team isn't good, the bench is awful other than Monroe and Jason Kidd is playing the two guys he used to play with way too much, even though they are terrible. ESPN's adjusted Plus/Minus just came out, Here's the Bucks team (and Brandon Knight, just because) http://i.imgur.com/ELBl1J1.png
  21. It's to prevent abuse of injured reserve, and the hiding of talent there. To prevent teams from putting mostly-healthy guys on IR and just calling them back up when they are needed. IR is meant to be for season-ending injuries, not as a disabled list to be used to avoid circumventing the 55 man roster limits.
  22. They're taught to shoot 3's when they are open. In the first half Creighton didn't even bother guarding the 3 point line for the last 10 minutes and the Badgers went collectively ice cold. It happens, but the 16 turnovers was a bigger factor in why they lost then the poor shooting.
  23. Be sure you didn't burn anything in your throat/lungs. Glad you're safe. Hope the experience wasn't too dangerous!
  24. I'm curious as to how you know this? To me, he looks like a guy who can't stay out of the bars on the road and as a result completely lost his ability to hit in road ballparks. I don't have any actual facts to back that up.
