  1. Yeah we better just prepare ourselves ahead of time for a bunch of really bad calls behind the plate. Let’s just hope the Reds are screwed over more than the Brewers.
  2. Castillo can be wild so the hope would be to get his pitch count up and get into that Reds bullpen early.
  3. Speaking of looking done, the Padres are in absolute free fall mode right now and their September schedule is brutal. We might be heading toward a Reds-Dodgers wild card matchup.
  4. Hader has to be thrilled he’s not coming into the game with the bases juiced.
  5. Yeah it does kinda feel like that with this year’s team. It felt like the 2018 and maybe even the 2019 had more late game magic. With 76 wins though there isn’t as much opportunity for those late game comebacks.
  6. Burnes is a little wild tonight. Sooner or later these leadoff walks are going to bite you.
  7. We just can’t get rid of this guy.
  8. Yeah, I agree. Just don't get swept. Their lead is big enough at this point that even if the Reds take 2 of 3, they only gain one game and are still 6.5 back with something like 34 games left.
  9. Counsell said they would be doing the MRI last night so I'm sure we'll hear something today or tomorrow.
  10. If there’s room for him, I could see Frelick finish the year in Appleton. He’s an advanced college guy who’s dominated low-A pitching so far so I could see him fast tracked a bit.
  11. Well that's a good sign. My guess is he's back for game one of the Giants series.
  12. Yeah and that Carolina lineup is stacked too. High batting averages all down that lineup in what’s supposed to be a pitching friendly league. We have some really exciting hitting prospects.
  13. Lane freakin Thomas. We should be up about 4-0 right now and instead it’s tied.
  14. The Reds have been fairly good at beating really bad teams at home this month. I guess the Brewers are just gonna have to take care of business themselves next week.
  15. I said this on Friday while they were getting dominated by Corbin, but I hope they just play their best bats regardless of splits. Whatever they’ve been doing against lefty starters hasn’t been working well anyway so might as well try something different. And that means starting Yelich, Wong, Omar, etc.
  16. Wisconsin and Carolina with some big offensive numbers tonight. Valerio already with a couple of homeruns so far in his short time at high-A.
  17. I don’t think it will be too long before we see Frelick in Appleton.
  18. It’s not like the pitching has been horrendous but when your offense isn’t doing a damn thing, it’s gonna be hard to beat anybody in this league.
