    Great article. I know he’s not everybody’s favorite cup of tea, but I’ve always liked Schroeder as an announcer and will miss him when he retires. My favorite memory of his is when the Brewers won the last game in 2008 to clinch a playoff birth and just the pure joy and excitement from him on the final out of the game. That’s always stuck with me.

    Yeah I get the feeling the Brewers aren’t all that high on Feliciano. They had many opportunities last season to call him up due to injuries and non-productive play from the catching position and he was up once for two whole games.

    Was listening to a baseball podcast yesterday and the host said this kind of spending typically happens after a lockout. Didn't really give any detailed reason why but we'll see if this continues next offseason.

    I guess I could see a scenario where we trade one of our OF to Toronto for a catcher and then trade for one of those OF from Arizona. I'm just not sure if we match up well with Arizona. Maybe Urias+?

    Alek Thomas is almost an exact replica of Frelick, maybe with a little more power. The article mentions Arizona wanting big league pieces back so not sure who from the Brewers would be of interest.

    Well, the Brewers always seem to zig when we think they should zag so grabbing another outfielder wouldn't totally surprise me I guess.

    A thought just crossed my mind. Let's say we keep Burnes, Woodruff and Adames around and then we end up making a deep run into the playoffs in 2023. I feel like we'd be stuck in a very awkward position deciding whether to trade these guys next offseason. Waiting until the 2024 trade deadline would really be pushing it. I want to run it back with these guys just as much as anyone, but doing a staggered re-set might be the best way to go, which would mean trading at least one of these guys this offseason. The timing of trading the big three is going to be tricky.

    In theory, this trade makes sense for both sides but I tend to believe the reports saying we aren't trading any of the big three this offseason. I do think they'll give it one more season with these guys before the big sell-off happens. This type of trade is more likely at the deadline if we stink or next offseason. Also, I'm a big Miguel Vargas fan so he'd have to be in the trade for me.

    Just go get Jansen or sign Vazquez. Stay away from any ridiculous package for Murphy.

    Yeah we seem to match up well with them. They need pitching and outfielders and we have an abundance of both.

    Apparently fared much better once we was moved to the bullpen late in the year. Big fastball.

    Losing Frelick would be painful but I guess you have to give to get.

    5 years?!? Goodness gracious.

    Well, to be fair this is typically how free agency goes for the Brewers. They wait until February to sign all the rejects who can’t get big deals with anyone else.
