    Webb is having a "down" season for his standards but man he is tough, particularly against the Brewers. He's 5-0 with a 1.79 ERA in 8 career starts vs the Brewers.

    Just a hunch but I'm guessing the Brewers and Tigers have had conversations and Henderson's name was brought up right away and the Brewers balked at that and offered up a different pitcher. That could very well be the sticking point between the two teams right now.

    A lot of smoke around Skubal today and Passan's mock for the Brewers was Henderson, Adamczewski, and Moneys to the Tigers.

    Really good question. That's a tough one. It would hurt but I'd probably do it. Since Miller has multiple years of team control, we could turn around and flip him later on down the road and recoup some prospect capital.

    Fischer is probably more likely to be traded in the next week than he is to be a September call-up.

    Outside of Turang, the top of the lineup is killing this offense right now and it starts with Yelich in the leadoff spot. Something has to be done.

    You can probably add Chourio to that list too. He's maybe been slightly better lately but over the past month I'm sure his stats look just as ugly as Yelich and Contreras.

    Considering we have to face Webb on Wednesday, we better win tomorrow or we're looking at a sweep.

    Yeah we could trade for Skubal and still easily have one of the best farm systems in baseball.

    I absolutely dread this series every year. Just a house of horrors for the Brewers. Oh, and they get to face Webb on Wednesday.

    Well, looks like I can go to bed at a reasonable time. Brewers ain't scoring three or more runs tonight.

    Those were some feeble AB's although Turang got screwed on a couple pitches.

    The stuff is there but it's just all over the damn place. Needs to spend an entire offseason in the pitching lab figuring out how to be more consistent.

    17 out of 20 isn't bad I guess. The biggest bummer was not being able to sign Bell but getting Maiorana was a nice surprise.

    Tough week for the Rattlers. Biloxi on the other hand, put on a show. Burke had an unbelievable weekend.

    Agreed - we always seem to struggle in San Francisco. Can we trade for Logan Webb before we have to face him on Wednesday? That guy absolutely kills us.

    He only went 4 last game so I would imagine 5 or 6 today depending on pitch count.

    HIs last three starts vs the Brewers have been duds but overall he's been pretty good.

    McCullers might not be long in a Brewers uniform. Poor guy can't throw strikes with big leads.

    There's no denying he's got some clutch in him but it would be nice to see more consistency throughout the entire season. I'm definitely not giving up on the kid.

    We need to start seeing more from Chourio. We really do. It's year three now and not much has changed with his approach at the plate.
