    The lockout has gone on so long I can’t even remember what free agents are left. Should be fun!

    The owners gave the option of not having the international draft start until 2024 to work out the kinks. The players are just being unreasonable at this point.

    Why the heck would the players be against an international draft? If this is the one thing holding up an agreement, then screw the players.

    Knock on wood, but it really feels like a deal gets done today and then buckle up for a frenzied free agency.

    So when do we get more canceled games? We have to be getting close. Doesn’t sound like they made much progress today.

    Ashby at #37 and that’s it. A bit surprising to be honest.

    Prime example of someone who should never have been allowed to interact with fans on social media. Never cared for the guy but congratulations to him I guess.

    The great thing about this trade is we replaced Avi with a similar player without adding to the payroll so they can still add another bat via free agency.

    Chapman AND Olson would cost a ton and I don’t think Oakland would be too interested in Hader if they are rebuilding. Like you said, he would only be involved if it was a three-way deal.

    We needed some RH power and we got it but how much money does this really free up for this upcoming season?

    Yeah I’m tired of signing utility guys to play 1B and 3B. I’ve seen enough of guys like Justin Smoak and Ryon Healey. We need an impact bat at one of those positions at the least.

    Yeah he was my only hope for a higher profile bat on the free agent market. Not gonna happen though. It’ll have to come via trade.

    These contracts being handed out so far are unbelievable. I was holding out hope for Kris Bryant but that is just a pipe dream at this point. Some team will give him crazy money too.

    Kinda has a trade deadline feel to it. Should be an interesting couple of days. It sure is nice seeing all of these moves so early in the year as opposed to the last few years when things were dead until January. Of course, there’s a reason for it with the CBA set to expire so it’s bittersweet.

    I like Semien but that is an absurd amount of money.

    My dream scenario is we trade for a bat and sign a bat, preferably 1B and 3B. Urias moves to a super utility role or maybe he’s involved in the trade. Pitching is set - maybe another bullpen arm or two but that’s it.

    Hamilton has had a really nice stint in the AFL and the dude has elite speed. Exciting, under the radar prospect.

    Jose Berrios to the Blue Jays for 7 years, $130 million. So you can just imagine what Burnes and Woody will get when their time comes.

    Mark A will offer him a huge extension this offseason and if Stearns turns it down without any kind of counter, then it’s likely he’s looking hard at that Mets job. If he does turn down an extension, the next question would be do you just trade him to the Mets to get something in return or pray that he reconsiders.

    Yeah if the writers had their way, the Yankees would sign the top 10 available free agents and trade for a bunch of all-stars.

    This would be a fun signing and I feel like I say that anytime a player from Japan or Korea is posted but Stearns just doesn’t seem to get involved in these types of signings for various reasons I’m sure.

    If we were going to unload a bunch of top tier prospects, would you guys rather trade for Jose Ramirez to play 3B or Olson to play 1B? No clue if Ramirez is even on the trade block so it’s likely Olson is more “gettable.”

    Wouldn’t be a bad guy to target if we trade a guy like Houser for offense.
